Community guides describe two possible uses: feeding a spare card to a card you plan to keep for experience, or extracting it for crafting materials such as crystals. Which actions, costs, transfer rules, and limits apply can vary by region and patch, and no authoritative current notice was found to make one choice universal. Open the card’s live action menu, read the confirmation preview, and make the decision using the rules shown in your installation.
This guide explains the practical choice without treating unofficial numbers as permanent facts. It also covers random upgrade results, possible experience loss when replacing a leveled card, and what to do when your inventory or card menu does not match a guide.

What Arcana cards do in Aion 2
Arcana is described by player guides as an in-game card system that can influence character statistics or skills. The system’s shape is not consistently described across community references: guides disagree about the number of cards, slots, and other limits. Those differences may reflect region, patch, progression stage, or outdated information, so treat any fixed count or cap you see outside the game as provisional.
In practical terms, an Arcana card has two separate questions attached to it:
#1 Best Overall
- The Thrill of Flight: Flying is a strategic and integral part of the game, adding a fresh dynamic to all aspects of the genre, including combat, quests, and exploration.
- Stunning World: Discover a meticulously crafted fantasy world brimming with otherworldly inhabitants, mysterious enemies, and ancient secrets.
- Innovative PvPvE: Aion introduces a new dynamic to MMOs by combining both PvP and PvE gameplay into an exciting new style.
- Intense Visceral Combat: Engage in a spectacular and evolving combat system utilizing combos, skill chains, counterattacks, and spectacular aerial combat.
- Ships in Certified Frustration-Free Packaging
- Build value: Does its effect suit the character, class, and activity you are playing?
- Resource value: If you do not want to equip it, can it improve another card or be converted into materials?
A duplicate is therefore not automatically junk. It may be the safest source of upgrade experience, the better input for an extraction recipe, or a card worth holding until you understand a future build. The correct answer depends on the actions that your current client actually offers.
Should I dismantle duplicate Arcana parts?
Use this order of operations before consuming a duplicate:
- Identify the exact item. Confirm that it is a duplicate card or card part, not a different rarity, bound version, event item, or component needed for a collection objective.
- Open every available action. Look for commands such as Feed, Upgrade, Extract, Dismantle, Convert, or Craft. Names and placement can differ between versions.
- Check the target and preview. Feeding normally asks you to select a receiving card; extraction should show the material output. Read warnings about binding, rarity, or irreversible use.
- Compare the opportunity cost. Decide whether immediate experience on a card you will keep is more useful than the crystals or other materials offered by extraction.
- Confirm only after checking the region and patch. If a guide’s menu, cost, or output is absent from your client, do not follow its numeric instructions.
One unofficial beginner guide describes spare cards being fed into a target card for experience and cards being broken down into crystals. Another community reference specifically warns players to verify current extraction, transfer, and duplicate-handling rules before dismantling. Those descriptions support a cautious decision process, not a permanent rule that every duplicate should be fed or dismantled.
Feed a duplicate or extract it?
When both options are present, compare them using the same four questions each time. There is no verified, region-wide optimization formula in the available material.
| Decision factor | Feed into another card | Extract or dismantle |
|---|---|---|
| Immediate benefit | Experience for a card you expect to keep | Crystals or other crafting materials shown by the live recipe |
| Best fit | A duplicate has no build use and your main card still benefits from training | You need the displayed material for a confirmed recipe or conversion |
| Main risk | The upgrade result may be random, and replacing cards can affect stored experience | The card is destroyed and may not be recoverable; outputs can change by patch |
| What to verify | Target card, experience gained, skill-line result, and any lock or binding warning | Material quantity, eligibility, cooldown or fee, and whether the action is irreversible |
If your card is a likely long-term target and the feed preview shows a meaningful gain, feeding is usually the more direct use. If you are still experimenting with builds, or the extraction output is required for a recipe you can use immediately, retaining the duplicate until that need is clear avoids an irreversible mistake. Do not infer an exact exchange rate from an old screenshot or a different region.
How Arcana upgrades are described
Feeding and training
Community guides describe selecting a receiving card and using spare cards or training materials to increase its experience. The interface should show the selected target and the expected result before you confirm. If the preview does not identify the target, cancel and check that you opened the upgrade screen rather than a collection or extraction screen.
Random skill-line improvement
One unofficial upgrade guide reports that an upgrade can improve a random existing skill line. That means an experience investment may not raise the attribute you wanted. Treat the result as a chance-based enhancement unless your live UI explicitly states a deterministic outcome. Do not promise a particular stat, skill, or level from a duplicate.

Search results contained numeric values, but they were not confirmed by an official publisher notice or a current regional rules page. For that reason, this article does not present a universal card cap, slot count, material cost, or experience-transfer percentage. Use the number displayed by your client for the item and patch you are playing.
What happens when you replace a leveled card?
A community wiki says that feeding an old leveled card to a new card can result in some experience being lost. The available references do not establish an official transfer rate or prove that the behavior is identical in every regional version. Assume that replacement may be less than one-to-one unless your confirmation window explicitly guarantees full transfer.
Before replacing a leveled card:
- Record the current card’s level and experience bar, preferably with a screenshot.
- Select the proposed replacement and open the feed or transfer preview.
- Compare the resulting level and experience shown for the new card with the amount invested in the old one.
- Check whether passive effects, rarity bonuses, locks, or enhancement materials carry over separately from experience.
- Cancel if the preview is missing, unclear, or different from the rule you expected.
Do not dismantle the old card first. Once an extraction or destruction action is confirmed, any experience or effect attached to that card may be gone, and there is no verified universal recovery process.
Choosing cards for PvE and PvP
There is no supported universal “best Arcana set” in the available references. One unofficial guide instead recommends comparing the content you play, particularly player-versus-environment and player-versus-player activities.
For PvE
Prioritize effects that improve the damage, survivability, resource management, or utility needed by the encounters you actually run. A card that is weaker in duels may be valuable against bosses or groups. Keep a duplicate if it could complete a separate PvE setup and your inventory has room.
Rank #2
- RACE AGAINST DESTRUCTION: Lead a squad of robot-workers to repair the sabotaged dream factory before it's too late.
- STRATEGIC ROBOT CARDS: Utilize Robot cards wisely to complete repairs and unleash powerful abilities.
- EVOLVING CHALLENGES: Machines become increasingly difficult to repair, but you can enhance your Robots' abilities as you progress.
- ONIVERSE SERIES: The seventh installment in the popular Oniverse series of solo/2-player cooperative games.
- EXPANDABLE FUN: Enjoy high replayability with five included expansions, short rules, deep gameplay, and adjustable difficulty levels.
For PvP
Evaluate effects against the opponents and control patterns common in your matches. A small defensive or timing-related benefit can matter more than a general damage increase, depending on your class and playstyle. Do not consume a card solely because a PvE guide labels it unnecessary.
For mixed play
Maintain a primary card for your most frequent activity and hold alternatives until you can compare their live effects. If the game supports separate loadouts in your version, confirm whether cards are shared between them before feeding a potential second-set card.

The retrieved guides are unofficial, and no authoritative current regional notice was found confirming duplicate, upgrade, extraction, or inventory rules. Use the following checks whenever a guide conflicts with your client:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- Patch date: Compare the guide’s update date with the version number shown on your title screen or launcher.
- Region: Confirm that the guide covers your service region. A translated guide can describe a different release schedule or ruleset.
- Item identity: Match the card’s name, rarity, icon, and binding status rather than relying on a similar-looking screenshot.
- Menu labels: Follow the action names in your client. A missing Extract or Feed command is evidence that the cited procedure may not apply.
- Confirmation text: Read the final warning, including material output and any statement that the action cannot be undone.
When a patch changes the interface, trust the in-game preview over a static table of values. Keep a duplicate unconsumed if you cannot determine what it does; uncertainty is a reason to wait, not a reason to dismantle.
Inventory workflow for duplicate cards
A simple inventory routine reduces accidental consumption and keeps future choices visible:
- Lock cards with a build role. Mark cards you use, cards reserved for a second activity, and any card whose effect you have not yet evaluated.
- Separate confirmed duplicates. Place spare copies in a consistent inventory position or filter so they are easy to review before a mass action.
- Check collection and event requirements. Some cards or parts may be needed for a collection, exchange, or time-limited objective even when they look redundant.
- Choose one destination. For each spare, select feed, extraction, or storage after reading the current preview. Avoid bulk-confirming until the first item behaves as expected.
- Review the result. Verify the receiving card’s experience or the material count, then make the next decision.
Keep at least one copy of a card whose effect, rarity, or future role you have not established. Storage is preferable to losing a potentially useful option while the rules are changing.
Troubleshooting common Arcana problems
The guide says I can extract, but my client cannot
Check your patch, region, card type, and progression requirements. The action may be unavailable for that rarity or version. Do not substitute a different dismantle command without reading its output.

The upgrade increased the wrong skill
A community guide’s description of random skill-line improvement means this can be an expected outcome. Review the card’s current effects and decide whether another attempt is worth the duplicate and materials shown in your version.
The replacement card has less experience than expected
Open the transfer preview again and compare the old and new values. The community wiki’s warning about possible experience loss is not accompanied by a verified universal rate, so rely on the number displayed in your client.
A bulk action consumed a card I meant to keep
Stop further conversions, check whether the game offers an undo, recovery, or support route, and record the item name, time, region, and patch. Do not assume an identical card can restore invested experience.
A safe rule for every duplicate
Use a duplicate immediately only when you can state both the benefit and the irreversible cost: “This card will feed into this target for the amount shown,” or “This extraction will produce the material shown for a recipe I need.” If you cannot complete that sentence from the live interface, store the card and verify the rule after the next patch or with a current regional notice.
