Hindustan Times reported that Chaudhary returned to India on Friday, October 2, after the Games, and that an Uttar Pradesh Police team escorted her from Delhi airport to Meerut. Her welcome reportedly began at Kashi toll plaza, where coach Gaurav Tyagi, sports officials and supporters had gathered. Police officials felicitated her before a procession took her to Iklauta, her native village, for a ceremony arranged by her family and villagers.
