Who is Thali in AFK Arena?
Thali is an Ascended Mauler Mage focused on continuous damage. Her kit exchanges health and some Energy recovery for stronger attacks, Haste, control, damage reduction, and Life Leech. How Thali’s skills work
Pyromaniac: enter frenzy
Pyromaniac puts Thali into frenzy. BlueStacks lists a base duration of 12 seconds, 30% increased Attack Rating, 45 Haste, and 40% lower Energy recovery. The skill is strengthened at later levels. When frenzy ends, Thali is briefly exhausted and cannot move or attack. She cannot activate her ultimate again while already in frenzy.

Fire Rapture sacrifices 15% of Thali’s current health to deal area damage, with additional damage based on the health sacrificed. The guide lists 220% base damage, rising to 280% during frenzy, with later upgrades increasing the skill further.

Flame Burst: add control during frenzy
Flame Burst sends three fireballs in succession. During frenzy, they also knock enemies back and stun them for three seconds, giving Thali a control window alongside her damage.
Pyromancy: trade starting health for defense and sustain
At battle start, Pyromancy sacrifices 35% of Thali’s current health to grant Damage Reduction and Life Leech based on her current health. The effect becomes stronger at lower health and reaches its strongest state below 40%. At the specified upgrade, its effect during frenzy ignores the current-health proportion.

What to invest in
Furniture: Heart of Fire
BlueStacks recommends Heart of Fire at 9/9 furniture. Its described effect can postpone fatal damage if Thali takes it during frenzy: she remains at minimum health, and her health no longer changes after the effect activates. The protection is temporary; she dies when frenzy ends. It also only helps if she survives long enough to enter frenzy, so it is not unconditional immunity.

The AFK Global character reference lists a 3/9 furniture bonus that gives non-summoned allies 20% Attack Rating and 20 Haste for seven seconds whenever Thali enters frenzy. It also lists the Signature Item Red Almandine and Engraving effects. The available guide material does not establish a complete, current priority ranking across Signature Item, furniture, and Engraving, so there is no evidence-based full investment order to give.

Where to place Thali and which heroes to pair with her
Position her to survive setup
BlueStacks advises placing Thali in the backline because her skills consume health. It says she can be used on the frontline if built as a semi-tank support. The choice is therefore a trade-off: protect her during her health-spending setup, or build around a more exposed role.
Synergies suggested by BlueStacks
- Khasos: suggested for lifesteal support, which aligns with Thali’s health-spending kit.
- Alna: suggested for temporary death protection, potentially covering a dangerous stretch of the fight.
- Kren: suggested for interactions with area damage and knockback.
