The guide recommends using him to support a damage carry or counter healing, but its pairings are historical editorial advice—not confirmation of the current AFK Arena meta.
Who is Mortas in AFK Arena?
BlueStacks presents Mortas as a former human who became a Hypogean. In the article’s account, he performed as a clown, was mocked, imprisoned for a crime he had not committed, and abused by fellow inmates before making a deal with a Hypogean narrator for power and revenge. This is the origin story as told by the BlueStacks guide, rather than a separately verified complete lore history.

What do Mortas’s abilities do?
| Ability | Target | Effect described by the sources |
|---|---|---|
| Empowerment | Allied hero with the highest Attack Rating | BlueStacks says it increases that ally’s Attack Rating and Attack Speed and grants Greed effects through battle. AFK Global states the base ability grants 25% of the target’s own Attack Rating and 25 Attack Speed points. |
| Greed | Enemy hit by Mortas’s normal attacks | A passive that steals health and shield value. AFK Global states that it steals 4% of the enemy’s current health and 10% of shield, with a 1.5-second interval per enemy and a health-steal cap of 220% of Mortas’s Attack Rating. |
| Blood Pact | Most injured non-summoned ally | Mortas consumes some of his current health to heal the selected ally. AFK Global states the base version consumes 10% of Mortas’s current health and heals for twice the amount consumed. |
| Devilish Deal | Enemy that has regenerated the most health | The target first recovers health immediately; its subsequent regenerated health is then transferred to Mortas for a period. AFK Global states the initial recovery is 15% of the target’s maximum health and the transfer lasts 15 seconds. |

Who should Mortas buff?
Empowerment selects the allied hero with the highest Attack Rating, rather than a hero chosen manually, according to both the BlueStacks guide and AFK Global’s description. BlueStacks’ tactical idea is to use that buff to make a damage carry hit harder and attack faster, while the Greed effect adds health and shield stealing to Mortas’s attacks.
The guide names Gwyneth as a possible damage-dealer synergy. It also suggests Rosaline as a support who can help the empowered hero generate energy faster. These are the BlueStacks article’s recommendations, not evidence that either pairing is optimal in the current meta.

How does Mortas interact with healing?
Blood Pact is the ally-healing part of the kit: it chooses the most injured non-summoned ally and spends some of Mortas’s current health to restore that ally. Devilish Deal instead targets the enemy that has regenerated the most health. BlueStacks recommends using the latter against healing opponents, naming Nemora and Rowan, and says it counters Izold’s healing. Treat those matchup suggestions as historical guide advice; the article does not establish their present-day effectiveness.

The article also promotes playing AFK Arena on PC with BlueStacks. It describes Multi-Instance for running multiple accounts and Multi-Instance Sync for replicating rerolling actions across instances. These are product claims in the article; current availability and operation of those features are not established here.
For the guide’s literal question, “How do I get better summons in AFK Arena?”, its relevant PC suggestion is to use synchronized rerolling actions across instances. That describes the article’s proposed workflow, not a guarantee of better summons or a verified current software feature.
