What role does Merlin fill?
BlueStacks characterizes Merlin, the Seer of Destiny, as a support hero whose abilities help a team survive: he mitigates incoming damage, heals himself and an ally, reacts to enemy control, and can protect an ally when he would otherwise take fatal damage. AFK Global, a secondary game-reference site rather than the game’s official operator, also classifies him as an Ascended Dimensional Support hero focused on healing: AFK Global’s Merlin reference.

Destiny Foreseen: reduce damage and grant shields
BlueStacks describes Destiny Foreseen as reducing damage received by Merlin and his allies for a limited time. The guide lists a 25% reduction lasting 8 seconds. It also says that when an enemy symmetrically positioned opposite Merlin uses an Ultimate, allied heroes receive runic shields equal to 180% of each hero’s maximum health for 5 seconds. The guide lists level upgrades that increase the damage-reduction value; it does not establish these figures as current live-game values.

Magical Amelioration: heal Merlin and an ally
This ability heals Merlin and the most injured ally over time. The guide says Merlin also bears some of the protected ally’s incoming damage, combining recovery with damage protection.
Karmic Law: answer enemy control
When an enemy control effect affects Merlin, Karmic Law dispels most negative effects on him, and his Spirit Owl imprisons the source. The description makes this a response to control applied to Merlin, rather than a general cleanse for the whole team.

Guardian Owl: protect an ally after fatal damage
BlueStacks describes Guardian Owl as a once-per-battle response to damage that would be fatal to Merlin. If allies remain on the battlefield, the ability protects Merlin’s most injured ally while both recover health.

The 2021 guide recommends building Merlin’s Foresight furniture ability to 9/9 and names Arthur, Ainz Ooal Gown, and Eluard as possible team synergies. It does not provide a tested head-to-head comparison of these pairings or establish that any is optimal now. Read the names as examples from that guide, not as current competitive advice.

For context, AFK Global independently lists a 9/9 furniture effect that lets Merlin immediately use Destiny Foreseen upon entering battle. That is a secondary reference, not official developer confirmation; see its Merlin character entry. Whether this investment or a particular pairing is worthwhile for an account depends on the current game balance and the player’s mode and roster, which the 2021 guide does not settle.

BlueStacks’ historical coverage of update 1.66 describes Merlin’s release as a Dimensional hero. Its patch-notes page says the original Bountiful Trials event offered an exchange route, followed by Soulstone availability through the Challenger Store: BlueStacks’ AFK Arena update 1.66 notes. These are release-era details; current acquisition options have not been verified.
What does the guide establish—and what does it not?
The guide supplies a dated account of Merlin’s intended support toolkit and several team and furniture suggestions. It does not establish current ability values, today’s availability, or a present-day competitive ranking. For those questions, a current in-game description or up-to-date official game information is needed; the cited guide and secondary reference should not be treated as substitutes.
