AEG also lists an anti-fingerprint stainless fascia and a “Quick Start” feature. The specification sheet describes the feature and controls, but does not demonstrate cooking speed, evenness, noise, or ease of use.

Is the MBE2658D-M any good?
The specifications establish what the Australian-listed unit is designed to provide, not how it performs in a kitchen. No independent hands-on testing, measured heating results, verified durability study, or reliable long-term repair-rate data is available here. It would be misleading to call it fast, quiet, especially even-heating, reliable, or superior to another model on this evidence alone.

AEG Australia’s page displays a 4.3/5 score from 13 reviews near the product heading. However, a separate review block on the page shows zero reviews and zero recommendations, and the displayed review content says some customers may have been rewarded or received a free product for writing a review. Treat the score as a manufacturer-page rating with those qualifications, not as an independent test or settled consensus.
Is it discontinued, and can you still buy one?
AEG Australia marks the MBE2658D-M discontinued. That status does not establish whether a retailer in a particular location still has new or leftover stock, or whether a replacement model is available. Check current local availability and confirm any proposed replacement’s exact model and installation requirements before buying.

Will it fit your cabinet?
The listed 459 × 596 × 404 mm measurements are the appliance’s external dimensions; they are not a cabinet cutout specification. Measure the installation cavity and use the matching model’s installation document to verify the opening, ventilation, clearances, electrical supply, plug and installation method. Confirm these requirements with the installer if anything is uncertain.

Check the exact regional model before comparing
Similar model names do not guarantee identical specifications. AEG Greece lists the MBE2658DEM at 25.37 L net capacity (26 L gross), 900 W microwave output and 800 W grill output. The UK brochure for that related variant also lists 800 W grill output. Those figures differ from AEG Australia’s 1,000 W grill listing for the MBE2658D-M. The available operating manual is titled MBE2658D. It describes six microwave settings—900, 630, 450, 270, 90 and 0 W—and microwave, grill and dual-grill operation, including time limits at high power. How to identify compatible spare parts
AEG’s parts shop recognizes the MBE2658D-M name but uses the PNC to determine compatibility. It lists these PNC versions for the model family: 94760867100, 94760867900 and 94760869600. Read the full PNC from the appliance rating plate, then check that it matches the part listing before ordering; the model name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility. What to compare before choosing a built-in microwave
Compare the exact regional model and PNC rather than relying on a similar product name. Check the cabinet opening as well as external dimensions, whether capacity is stated as usable/net or gross, microwave and grill output, cooking modes and controls, electrical connection, local warranty, service and parts availability, and current price and stock. The available evidence does not establish a tested performance winner.
