Boost and power sharing
The Power function raises a zone’s output temporarily. The manual says it runs for up to 10 minutes, after which the zone returns to the highest heat setting. Power management shares available power between paired zones, so boosting one can reduce the output of its paired zone. Before fitting or replacing a hob, compare the exact manual diagram with the existing opening and check the clearances and ventilation shown there. Which pans work on it?
Use cookware explicitly suitable for induction and choose a base diameter appropriate to the selected zone. The manual says the display identifies cookware that is missing, unsuitable or too small; with incorrect cookware, the zone switches off after two minutes. A pan may activate induction yet still be a poor size match, so use the model’s specified ranges rather than relying only on whether the hob detects it.
