Before buying an ad blocker lifetime deal, verify what “lifetime” means in the product’s EULA, how many devices and operating systems the license covers, whether the seller is authorized, and who handles refunds and activation problems. Also check whether you can move the license to a replacement device. The headline alone does not establish any of those terms.
What does “lifetime” mean in the license?
There is no universal duration for a software lifetime license. The contract for the specific product and offer controls, not the wording in a deal headline.

- AdGuard: Its license information describes lifetime licenses as perpetual. The same page also lists one-year licenses, so check which type the offer actually sells: AdGuard license information.
- AdLock: Its EULA defines the term differently: “Lifetime license means 10 years from the date of the key activation.” Read the AdLock EULA for the contract terms.
These are vendor-specific examples, not a definition that applies to every ad blocker. Save a copy of the EULA and offer terms in effect when you buy.

| Vendor example | Published coverage | What to verify on the offer |
|---|---|---|
| AdGuard | Personal licenses cover up to three devices; Family licenses cover up to nine. One-year and lifetime licenses are listed. | Whether the offer is Personal or Family, the device limit on its order, and whether your platforms are supported. Source. |
| AdLock | The purchase page advertises plans for five devices across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. | Whether those device and platform terms apply to the exact offer and license duration. Source. |
AdGuard’s EULA ties use to the computer count on the order. For a reseller purchase, use the reseller’s final terms and the license record you receive rather than assuming the vendor’s standard checkout description applies: AdGuard EULA.
Is the seller authorized, and who provides the key?
A reseller listing is a separate purchase channel, not automatically the same transaction as buying directly from the developer. AdGuard says distributors sell its licenses and that availability varies by country. Its EULA says only authorized partners may resell or sublicense the software.
Before paying, check the seller against the vendor’s partner information where available: AdGuard reseller information. Ask who issues the activation key, how it is connected to your account, and which party will resolve an invalid key or activation failure. Keep the listing and the final checkout terms.

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Which refund policy applies to this purchase?
Find the refund deadline and administrator for the exact channel you are using. AdGuard’s license page states a 30-day refund policy, and AdLock’s purchase page displays a 30-day money-back guarantee. Those vendor statements do not establish that a reseller must provide the same refund terms.
Before checkout, record the policy shown by the seller, including any exclusions, when the deadline starts, and whether you must contact the vendor or the reseller to request a refund. Check the offer’s terms directly: AdGuard license information and AdLock purchase page.
Can you move the license to a replacement device?
A long-term license is more useful if its device-change rules suit the way you replace or reinstall computers. Transfer, unbinding, and reactivation are contract-specific and should not be treated as interchangeable rights.
- AdGuard: Its EULA permits transferring a license by unbinding it from one computer and signing in on another. Follow the terms for the purchased license and device count: AdGuard EULA.
- AdLock: Its EULA says reactivation after computer or software-installation changes is at the licensor’s sole discretion, and excludes that reactivation right for lifetime-license buyers: AdLock EULA.
If you are buying another product, look for its own rules on unbinding, reinstalls, hardware replacement, and support rather than assuming either example applies.
Does the bundle include a separate subscription?
Read the terms for every item in a bundle. A lifetime ad-blocker license does not make another bundled product perpetual. AdGuard VPN is a separate subscription product: its official terms describe monthly, one-year, and two-year subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable; one-year and two-year subscriptions purchased on AdGuard’s official site have a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the AdGuard VPN terms.
Check each component’s renewal, cancellation, and refund rules separately, especially if the bundle combines an ad blocker with VPN, DNS, or another service.
How to compare two lifetime offers
Compare the usable package, not the discount percentage or the word “lifetime.” For each offer, record:
- Exact license duration and the EULA wording that defines it.
- Number of simultaneous devices, supported operating systems, and any regional or store restrictions.
- Seller authorization, activation route, and who handles key or account problems.
- Refund deadline, exclusions, and the party responsible for processing a request.
- Transfer, unbinding, reactivation, and support rules for the license type being sold.
- Any bundled subscription, its renewal terms, and its separate refund policy.
For a price comparison, use your actual checkout price and alternatives with the same device count and term assumptions. Any payback figure is an estimate based on those inputs, not a guaranteed saving; prices and offer terms can change.
Quick Recap
Pre-purchase checklist
- Open the EULA and note the exact duration; do not infer it from the listing title.
- Confirm the license type, device limit, platform support, and any country or store restrictions.
- Verify the seller where the vendor provides authorized-partner information, then save the listing and checkout terms.
- Confirm who supplies the key, how it is activated or bound to an account, and where to get help if it fails.
- Record the refund window, exclusions, and which company processes refunds.
- Check what happens when you replace a device, reinstall software, or need to reactivate.
- Separate lifetime-license terms from subscriptions included in a bundle and inspect each component’s renewal terms.
- Compare the one-time price with alternatives on equivalent device and term assumptions.
