The Las Vegas Aces beat the Indiana Fever 94–83 in the winner-take-all Game 3 on October 1, 2026, ending Indiana’s season and advancing to the WNBA semifinals. A’ja Wilson led Las Vegas with 36 points and 10 rebounds; Chelsea Gray added 23.
How Las Vegas closed out Game 3
The third-seeded Aces built a 67–55 lead in the third quarter, but the sixth-seeded Fever twice cut the margin to two in the fourth. Las Vegas held on for the 94–83 win. The game account from the Associated Press, syndicated by theScore, describes a physical contest; Caitlin Clark and Las Vegas’s Brianna Turner each received an early technical foul. Those calls were part of the game, not an explanation for its result.
Who led each team?
| Team | Player | Game line |
|---|---|---|
| Las Vegas | A’ja Wilson | 36 points, 10 rebounds; 11-for-18 shooting, including 21 points in the first half |
| Las Vegas | Chelsea Gray | 23 points |
| Las Vegas | Jackie Young | 18 points, eight rebounds, seven assists |
| Las Vegas | Jewell Loyd | 11 points |
| Indiana | Kelsey Mitchell | 23 points on 7-for-23 shooting |
| Indiana | Aliyah Boston | 19 points, 10 rebounds |
| Indiana | Caitlin Clark | 18 points: 11 in the first quarter and seven thereafter |
The Associated Press account says Loyd replaced Stephanie Talbot in the starting lineup. Talbot, who had started all but one game that season, sat out with a leg injury. After the game, coach Becky Hammon said Talbot had been a game-time decision and described her availability as uncertain at that point: “You’ve got to do what’s best for your body.” That was Hammon’s postgame assessment, not a later injury update.
What the result meant for both teams
Las Vegas moved on to the semifinals, while Indiana’s season ended in the first round for the second consecutive year. The Associated Press noted that the Aces had won three of the previous four WNBA titles. Their prior-year semifinal series against Indiana lasted five games and ended with an Aces overtime win.
