The Acer Nitro ED340CUR X0 offers a 34-inch, 3440 × 1440 curved VA screen and refresh rates up to 200Hz over DisplayPort. That combination makes it an appealing budget-positioned option for high-refresh ultrawide gaming, but its tilt-only stand and 250 cd/m² listed brightness are meaningful compromises. The price also needs context: Acer India displayed it at ₹23,599 against an MRP of ₹27,999 on 7 October 2026, but the listing was out of stock.
What the ED340CUR X0 offers
Acer specifies a 34-inch, 21:9 UWQHD VA panel with a 3440 × 1440 resolution and a 1500R curve. The extra width can make side-by-side windows more practical and gives games a broader field of view, provided a game supports the ultrawide aspect ratio.

The key gaming specification is a maximum 200Hz refresh rate over DisplayPort. Acer also lists 1ms VRB and AMD FreeSync Premium. The 1ms figure is a VRB specification, not a general guarantee of pixel response time in every mode or a substitute for independent motion testing.

Acer lists two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection. In Varun Mirchandani’s 91mobiles review, published 14 September 2026, HDMI reached 100Hz in the reviewer’s test, while DisplayPort delivered 200Hz. Treat those as that reviewer’s observed results, not a guarantee for every computer: the graphics output, cable, resolution and monitor settings all affect the available refresh rate.
#1 Best Overall
- Vibrant Images: The Nitro EDA340CUR 34" Curved Display with QHD (3440 x 1440) resolution offers the sharpest picture quality and provides a perfect picture with a broader view. The zero-frame design does away with the thick frames found on conventional monitors freeing up precious screen space, so you have more to look at from edge to edge.
- AMD FreeSync Premium Technology: Say “goodbye” to stuttering and tearing. With AMD FreeSync Premium, the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and provide the smoothest gaming experience.
- 200Hz Refresh Rate: The 200Hz refresh rate speeds up the frames per second to deliver an ultra-smooth 2D motion scene. With a rapid refresh rate of 200Hz, Acer Gaming Monitors shorten the time it takes for frame rendering, lower input lag and provide gamers an excellent in-game experience.
- Responsive!!: Up to 0.5ms GTG (Gray to Gray) response time enhanced gamers’ in-game experience. No matter the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting with EDA340CUR Gaming Monitor.
- Curved Screen: The 1500R curved 21:9 display wraps you in a world of entertainment with every corner of the screen at the same distance from your eyes for a uniform viewing experience without blind spots. Tilt the screen -5 to 20 degrees for the most comfortable view.
If 200Hz is the goal, plan to connect through DisplayPort and confirm that the computer’s output supports 3440 × 1440 at that rate. A DisplayPort cable alone cannot make an unsupported graphics output or configuration deliver 200Hz.
Picture quality: useful specifications, limited brightness
The official specifications list 99% sRGB coverage, HDR10 support and 250 cd/m² brightness. The brightness figure is modest, particularly in a bright room; HDR10 support should not be mistaken for evidence of high peak brightness or a high-end HDR experience.

- Resolution Matters: The Nitro XZ340CUR 34" Curved Display with QHD (3440 x 1440) resolution offers the sharpest picture quality and provides a perfect picture with a broader view. The zero-frame design does away with the thick frames found on conventional monitors freeing up precious screen space, so you have more to look at from edge to edge.
- AMD FreeSync Technology: Say “goodbye” to stuttering and tearing. With AMD FreeSync, the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and provides the smoothest gaming experience.
- Up to 180Hz Refresh Rate: The 180Hz refresh rate speeds up the frames per second to deliver an ultra-smooth 2D motion scene. With a rapid refresh rate of 180Hz, Acer Monitors shorten the time it takes for frame rendering, lower input lag and provide gamers an excellent in-game experience.
- Responsive!!: Fast response time of 1ms Moving Picture Response Time. No matter if the fast-moving action or any dramatic transitions will be all rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting.
- Curved Screen: The 1500R curved 21:9 display wraps you in a world of entertainment with every corner of the screen at the same distance from your eyes for a uniform viewing experience without blind spots. Tilt the screen -5 to 20 degrees for the most comfortable view.
The panel is VA rather than IPS. The 91mobiles reviewer found that color accuracy left room for improvement compared with IPS displays. That is a subjective assessment from the review, not a measured comparison across a controlled set of monitors. Buyers prioritizing color-critical work should look for independent calibration testing rather than relying on the 99% sRGB coverage figure alone.

Stand, ports and everyday setup
The reviewer reports that the included stand adjusts only for tilt, from -5 to 20 degrees, with no height adjustment, and found it less sturdy than preferred. As the reviewer put it, “For a screen this large, some additional flexibility would have been welcome.” A compatible VESA arm is an option if you need more positioning flexibility; Acer’s specifications list VESA mounting, and the reviewer reports no USB ports.

For other connections, Acer lists two 2W speakers, an audio-out connection and the two HDMI 2.1 ports alongside DisplayPort 1.4. The built-in speakers are a convenience, but their listed power is modest; use separate speakers or headphones if audio quality matters.

That model-code check matters: Acer Japan’s 24 February 2026 announcement lists related ED340CUR J0 and W0 models at 120Hz and 240Hz, respectively. They are different variants, not evidence of the X0’s refresh rate or pricing. For this review, the X0’s listed maximum is 200Hz via DisplayPort.

Who should consider it?
- A good fit: You want a large 21:9 gaming and multitasking workspace, can use DisplayPort, and value a high listed refresh rate more than adjustable stand ergonomics or high brightness.
- Think twice: You need a height-adjustable included stand, work in a bright room, or need dependable color accuracy for professional work.
- Before ordering: Verify that the listing says ED340CUR X0, check regional stock and price, confirm your computer can drive the target resolution and refresh rate, and consider whether you need a VESA arm.
