Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsChoose the Acer Iconia Tab 12 5G if you want the larger, sharper screen; choose the Iconia Tab 11 if low weight and easier carrying matter more. Acer’s India listings show the two tablets sharing Android 16, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, a 90 Hz IPS panel, 450-nit brightness and advertised 5G calling. The important trade-off is size versus portability: the Tab 12 has a 12.2-inch 1600 × 2400 display and weighs 635 g, while the Tab 11 has a 10.95-inch 1200 × 1920 display and weighs 500 g.

The 135 g difference is substantial when you hold a tablet for reading or video. Conversely, the Tab 12’s extra 1.25 inches of diagonal screen and higher 1600 × 2400 resolution provide more room for documents, split-screen apps, maps and wide web pages. Its panel has 3.84 million pixels versus about 2.30 million on the Tab 11, so the larger model also has roughly two-thirds more pixels to render. That does not by itself prove better color or contrast, but it explains why text and detailed documents can look more finely resolved.

The displayed sale-price gap was ₹6,000 in India at the stated access date. The Tab 12’s MRP was ₹3,000 higher, while its page was not yet orderable. Treat both differences as snapshots rather than permanent positioning.

Display: the Tab 12 is the clear choice for space and detail
What changes on the Tab 12
The Tab 12 uses a 12.2-inch IPS panel at 1600 × 2400 pixels. That gives it a larger physical canvas and more total pixels than the Tab 11’s 10.95-inch, 1200 × 1920 panel. Text, photographs and fine interface elements can appear more detailed, and two apps are less cramped when Android’s split-screen mode is active.
A 12.2-inch screen is also better suited to a keyboard case or a desk-based setup. If you routinely review spreadsheets, annotate PDFs, edit slides or watch video from several feet away, the extra area reduces scrolling and zooming. The trade-off is that the larger chassis is heavier and takes more room in a small bag. A reader who mostly consumes portrait-oriented books may not benefit as much from the added width as someone working with landscape documents.
The Tab 11’s 10.95-inch panel is still substantially larger than a phone and is easier to position in a cramped seat or on a bedside table. Its 1200 × 1920 resolution is adequate for ordinary reading, streaming and web browsing; the reason to move to the Tab 12 is additional workspace and pixel density, not a different advertised refresh technology.
What remains the same
Both listings specify IPS technology, a 90 Hz refresh rate and 450 nits of brightness. The shared 90 Hz rate should make scrolling and supported animations feel similarly fluid; the Tab 12 does not have a refresh-rate advantage over the Tab 11. The equal 450-nit listing also means you should not select one expecting a brighter panel in the manufacturer’s stated specification.
Neither listing establishes HDR support, a contrast measurement, color-gamut coverage or outdoor readability in direct sunlight. If those factors are decisive for you, check the exact regional specification sheet or inspect the device before buying rather than assuming the larger model has a higher-end panel. Brightness figures are manufacturer claims and do not describe reflections, automatic-brightness behavior or how readable the screen is under harsh sun.
Portability and ergonomics: where the Tab 11 wins
Weight you will notice daily
Acer lists the Tab 11 at 500 g and the Tab 12 at 635 g. The Tab 11 is therefore 135 g lighter, a difference you can feel during one-handed reading, standing use and long commutes. It is the more practical option for students carrying several devices, travelers who use a tablet as an e-reader, and anyone who dislikes supporting a heavy tablet while reclining.
The Tab 12’s 635 g listing is not excessive for a large-screen tablet, but it favors two-handed use or a stand. Add a protective case, keyboard or other accessory and the carried weight rises further. Acer’s listings do not provide a complete accessory weight, so budget for the combined load rather than the tablet alone. A 135 g tablet-only difference can become more noticeable once both devices are protected, especially if the larger model receives a heavier keyboard cover.

Choose based on how you hold it
- Mostly handheld: the 500 g Tab 11 is the safer choice for reading, browsing and casual video.
- Mostly on a desk or stand: the Tab 12’s weight matters less, while its larger workspace becomes more valuable.
- Frequent travel: measure your bag’s tablet sleeve and check the local device dimensions before ordering; the two product pages establish screen sizes and weight but not a universal chassis size for every market.
- Shared household use: consider who will hold it most often. A child or smaller-handed user may find the Tab 11 easier, while a home-office user may prefer the Tab 12 on a stand.
Performance and software: similar listed foundations, no proven speed winner
Shared memory, storage and Android version
The India pages list both models with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and Android 16. On paper, that gives them the same starting capacity for multitasking and app installation. Actual free storage will be lower after Android and preinstalled software consume space.
Both product-page copies say storage can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 2 TB. Treat that as a manufacturer-stated maximum: card compatibility, file-system limits and whether applications can be moved to the card can vary. A card is useful for photos, downloaded video and documents, but it does not always replace fast internal storage for every app. Check whether the retailer specifies a card slot in the exact SKU and whether the card is user-accessible before buying a large card.
For a 128 GB buyer, estimate your offline needs rather than assuming the advertised capacity is empty. Large games, downloaded streaming seasons, camera files and maps can consume space quickly. If most content is streamed and documents stay in cloud storage, 128 GB may be sufficient; if the tablet is a travel media library, reserve budget for a compatible microSD card.
Processor listing and what it does not prove
Acer identifies the processor in each listing as a MediaTek 8755 octa-core chip with speeds up to 2.4 GHz. This is the same manufacturer-listed platform in the two configurations, but no independent head-to-head benchmark or hands-on test establishes that one tablet performs faster. Clock speed and core count alone cannot predict sustained gaming, thermal behavior, camera processing or battery endurance.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The Tab 12 has more pixels to drive, so identical processor specifications do not guarantee identical frame rates in demanding games. That is a reason to wait for testing rather than assume the larger model is faster or slower. For ordinary browsing, streaming, reading and office applications, the shared 8 GB/128 GB configuration is the relevant information. If you need demanding 3D games, professional video editing or sustained workloads, wait for independent testing of the exact regional SKU and do not infer a performance advantage from the model name.
Software-support questions remain open
Both listings show Android 16, but the available product information does not state a guaranteed number of Android-version upgrades, security-update period or update schedule. Verify Acer’s support policy for your country before purchasing if long-term software support is a primary requirement. Also confirm that the regional model you receive ships with the same Android version as the store page; retailer listings can lag behind a product revision.
5G calling: advertised on both, but verify compatibility before paying
The Tab 11 page uses the phrase “5G LTE calling,” while the Tab 12 page says “5G VoLTE calling.” Both descriptions indicate cellular voice and data capability rather than Wi-Fi-only operation. However, the available specifications do not list every supported 5G or LTE band, SIM format, carrier certification or regional voice-over-LTE requirement.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.

“5G” on a product page is not a promise of a particular speed in your location. Coverage, congestion, plan restrictions and carrier provisioning affect the connection, and a compatible tablet may fall back to LTE when 5G is unavailable. VoLTE also needs carrier activation; a data-only tablet plan may not provide ordinary voice calling even when the hardware supports it.

Network compatibility is country- and carrier-specific. A tablet can advertise 5G yet fall back to LTE, lose voice service or fail to register on a particular operator if its bands or provisioning do not match. Before purchase, ask the carrier or retailer to confirm all of the following for the exact SKU:
- Supported 5G and LTE bands in your country.
- Whether the carrier permits tablet data and voice service on that plan.
- VoLTE activation requirements and emergency-calling support.
- SIM or eSIM type, if your operator requires one.
- Whether imported units receive local firmware and warranty support.
Do not treat the India wording as a worldwide compatibility guarantee. Acer presents these configurations through its India store, and identical hardware is not established for every market. If you import a device, obtain the model number and band list in writing and check return terms before inserting your primary SIM.
Price and availability: use the numbers only as an India snapshot
When the pages were accessed on October 13, 2026, Acer India showed the Tab 11 at an MRP of ₹34,999 and a sale price of ₹23,999 with an “Add to Cart” state. The Tab 12 page showed an MRP of ₹37,999, a sale price of ₹29,999 and “Coming Soon.” Those are time-sensitive India listings, not guaranteed prices, inventory or launch dates elsewhere.
| Model | Displayed MRP | Displayed sale price | Availability state at access | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iconia Tab 11 | ₹34,999 | ₹23,999 | Add to Cart | Listed for purchase on the accessed India page; price can change. |
| Iconia Tab 12 5G | ₹37,999 | ₹29,999 | Coming Soon | Do not assume immediate shipment; confirm a live date and stock. |
At those displayed sale prices, the Tab 12 costs ₹6,000 more than the Tab 11, but the difference is meaningful only if both offers are still active and the Tab 12 is actually orderable. Compare the final checkout total, taxes, delivery, warranty region and included accessories for your local SKU. A lower headline price can disappear if a case, charger or cellular activation must be purchased separately.
Check the date and time of any price you quote in a buying guide. Promotional discounts, regional taxes and launch stock can change without notice, and a “Coming Soon” label may change to a different price when ordering opens.
Which tablet fits your use case?
Buy the Iconia Tab 11 when portability comes first
- You read for long periods and hold the tablet rather than placing it on a stand.
- You travel frequently and want to minimize bag weight.
- You prefer a smaller footprint for airline trays, small desks or bedside use.
- The lower local price leaves room in your budget for a case, keyboard or microSD card.
- You are satisfied with a 10.95-inch 1200 × 1920 display and do not need the Tab 12’s extra workspace.
- You want the same listed RAM, storage, Android version, refresh rate and processor platform in a lighter body.
Buy the Iconia Tab 12 5G when screen area matters most
- You work with documents, spreadsheets, maps or two apps side by side.
- You watch video or browse from a stand and can accept 635 g.
- You want the higher listed 1600 × 2400 resolution for finer text and images.
- You are willing to pay more for the larger panel and can wait if your local listing still says “Coming Soon.”
- Your case or keyboard setup will keep the tablet supported instead of handheld.
- You value a larger canvas more than the 135 g saving of the Tab 11.
When neither is an obvious choice
If your priority is guaranteed outdoor visibility, a specific color standard, stylus latency, long software support or heavy gaming performance, the listed specifications do not answer those questions. Seek a local demonstration or independent review of the exact model before committing. The two Acer pages establish screen, weight, memory, storage, operating system and advertised cellular functions, but not every quality that determines professional or specialist use.

Likewise, do not choose solely from the model number. A local Tab 11 or Tab 12 revision could have different radios, bundled accessories or storage. Match the seller’s model code, warranty territory and return policy to your needs before comparing headline prices.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to check before ordering
- Confirm the model name. Select “Iconia Tab 11” or “Iconia Tab 12 5G,” not a similarly named V-series or X-series product.
- Open the regional product page. Verify that the screen resolution, RAM, storage, Android version and cellular description match the configuration you intend to buy.
- Check carrier bands. Give the exact SKU to your network operator and obtain confirmation for 5G, LTE and VoLTE service.
- Review the live price and stock state. Promotional prices can expire, and “Coming Soon” is not an order confirmation.
- Verify what is in the box. Confirm charger, cable, documentation, keyboard, pen and case inclusion; the listed pages do not establish a universal accessory bundle.
- Plan storage. Decide whether 128 GB is enough for your apps and offline media, then check the retailer’s supported microSD capacity and file-system guidance.
- Check warranty coverage. Imported or cross-border units may have different service terms from products sold through your local Acer channel.
- Choose protection for the weight you will carry. A rugged case improves protection but adds mass, which is more noticeable on the Tab 12.
- Check returns. Confirm the return window and whether opening or activating a cellular device affects eligibility if the radio does not work with your carrier.
Do not confuse these tablets with other Iconia announcements
Acer has announced other Iconia products with similar names. The V11 and V12 belong to a separate V-series family; Acer’s May 16, 2025 announcement describes the V11 as having optional 4G LTE and different screen sizes and configurations. The separate Iconia X12 announcement describes a 12.6-inch AMOLED model with a 60 Hz refresh rate and Wi-Fi 5. Those announcements are not evidence for the Tab 11 or Tab 12 specifications in this comparison.

Verdict: choose the trade-off you will notice every day
The Acer Iconia Tab 12 5G is the better pick for a large, detailed workspace: its 12.2-inch 1600 × 2400 display gives documents, split-screen apps and video more room, while the shared 90 Hz and 450-nit specifications keep the basic display experience aligned with the Tab 11. The Iconia Tab 11 is the better pick for mobility: at a listed 500 g, it is 135 g lighter and easier to hold or carry.
Because both India listings share Android 16, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage and the same listed MediaTek 8755 processor, the decision is not supported by a proven performance gap. Make it on screen area, weight, your local price and confirmed carrier compatibility. Recheck the regional SKU, live availability and final checkout terms immediately before purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Acer Iconia Tab 12 faster than the Tab 11?
Acer’s India listings name the same MediaTek 8755 octa-core processor, up to 2.4 GHz, and the same 8 GB RAM. No independent head-to-head benchmark establishes a speed winner, so choose by screen, weight and price rather than assuming the Tab 12 is faster.
Which tablet is easier to carry?
The Tab 11 is listed at 500 g, compared with 635 g for the Tab 12. That 135 g difference favors the Tab 11 for handheld reading, commuting and travel; a case or keyboard will add weight to either model.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.

- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Does the Tab 12 have a better display?
It has the larger and higher-resolution listed panel: 12.2 inches at 1600 × 2400 versus 10.95 inches at 1200 × 1920. Both are listed as 90 Hz IPS displays with 450 nits, so the Tab 12’s advantage is space and detail, not refresh rate or stated brightness.
Do both tablets support 5G voice calling everywhere?
Both India pages advertise cellular calling, but the Tab 11 says 5G LTE calling and the Tab 12 says 5G VoLTE calling. Band support, SIM type and carrier provisioning are not settled by those phrases. Confirm the exact SKU with your operator before purchase.
How much storage do the India configurations provide?
Both listed configurations include 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM. Acer’s product-page copy says each supports microSD expansion up to 2 TB, but card compatibility and app-storage behavior can vary by SKU.
What were the India prices?
On October 13, 2026, Acer India displayed ₹23,999 for the Tab 11 against a ₹34,999 MRP and ₹29,999 for the Tab 12 against a ₹37,999 MRP. The Tab 11 showed Add to Cart; the Tab 12 showed Coming Soon. Prices and stock can change.
Is Android 16 guaranteed to receive future updates?
Both pages list Android 16, but they do not state a guaranteed number of version upgrades or a security-update period. Check Acer’s support policy for your country if long-term updates matter.
Are the Iconia Tab 11 and Tab 12 the same as Acer’s V11, V12 or X12?
No. The V11 and V12 are a separate V-series family, and the X12 is a distinct 12.6-inch AMOLED, 60 Hz Wi-Fi 5 model. Use the full Tab 11 or Tab 12 5G product name and regional page when shopping.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: buy the Iconia Tab 12 5G for its larger, sharper workspace; buy the Iconia Tab 11 for its 135 g weight advantage and easier handheld use. Before paying, verify the local SKU, carrier bands, accessories, warranty, live price and stock.
