The Core 5 320 is specified with six cores and six threads: two performance cores and four low-power efficient cores, with turbo speeds up to 4.6GHz. Graphics are integrated Intel Graphics with two Xe cores. The machine measures 128 × 128 × 41.3 mm and ships with Windows 11 Pro, according to ACEMAGIC’s US specification page. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independently verified measurements.
What does independent testing say about performance?
TechRadar’s Mark Pickavance describes a mixed result: strong single-core capability and a substantial improvement over older N-series entry-level chips, alongside limits from the K5’s PCIe lane budget and its installed Gen3 SSD. Can you upgrade the memory or storage?
Memory is fixed
The 16GB LPDDR5-6400 memory is onboard and non-upgradable, according to ACEMAGIC’s US listing; TechRadar likewise describes the RAM as soldered. Choose the 16GB configuration with the expectation that you cannot add memory later. If your work routinely needs more RAM, that is a meaningful reason to consider a different mini PC.

ACEMAGIC advertises the installed 512GB M.2 2280 SSD and additional M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 ×2 expansion. Its US page says “2*M.2” and up to 4TB; the EU page describes a pre-installed drive plus two M.2 slots. TechRadar’s account of its reviewed sample differs: it describes two 2280 slots total, one occupied by the Windows drive, and an additional 2242 slot occupied by Wi-Fi. The pages and review therefore do not establish one consistent count of free slots or an unambiguous maximum capacity for every K5 configuration. Inspect the exact unit or get confirmation for its configuration before ordering an SSD.

TechRadar reports that its sample’s installed Gen3 NVMe drive reached less than 1,800MB/s in both reads and writes, despite a stated drive specification of twice that speed. The reviewer attributes the limit to the drive using two PCIe lanes and says a Gen4 drive could be twice as fast, while noting the platform’s limited lane budget. That is a result and explanation reported for the reviewed sample, not an independently reproduced test. A compatible M.2 2280 NVMe SSD is a possible expansion or replacement, but verify its physical size, interface and fit for your exact K5 before purchase.
Which ports and connections does it offer?
ACEMAGIC lists HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode, and advertises support for up to three displays at 4K/60Hz. For peripherals, the listed connections are two front USB-A 10Gbps ports, four rear USB-A 5Gbps ports, a 3.5mm audio jack and a DC input. Networking specifications include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.5GbE. These are manufacturer claims; confirm that the combination of ports and monitors you need is supported before relying on a multi-display setup.

The USB-C port is specified for up to 20Gbps data and 100W USB Power Delivery input. TechRadar questions the practical meaning of the power claim and reports that the computer itself cannot be powered by USB-C. Do not assume a 100W USB-C charger can replace the K5’s DC power supply based on the specification alone.

TechRadar judged the K5 overpriced at its launch price and said it would be recommendable for general office use at around $400. Mark Pickavance’s conclusion was: “When you compare the two options, the Acemagic K5 looks like it’s been priced above what its specifications can justify.” That is the reviewer’s value judgment, not a current price assessment.

As a review-time comparison, TechRadar cited a GMKtec M6 Ultra listed at $459.99, with a Ryzen 5 7640HS, USB4, dual 2.5GbE, two Gen4 x4 M.2 slots and upgradeable SODIMM memory. The quoted price and availability are not current quotes, and the two machines should be compared at the same region and date rather than by treating an old listed price as a live offer.
ACEMAGIC’s US page showed the Core 5 320 model at $559, reduced from $799, when reviewed for this article; the page also said preorders would start shipping October 18. It simultaneously displayed 3–5 business-day US delivery, a 30-day money-back guarantee and a two-year warranty. The EU listing showed €549 against €799, described the Core 5 320 variant as presale for October 12, and advertised a 30-day return policy, a two-year warranty and lifetime technical support. These region-specific commercial details are volatile, and the preorder timing and delivery language on the US page do not clearly align. Check the live page for your region before relying on price, stock, shipping or support terms. US listing; EU listing.
Who should consider the ACEMAGIC K5?
The K5 may suit someone seeking a small Windows desktop for general office work, multiple displays and wired 2.5GbE, provided 16GB of fixed memory is enough and the actual price is competitive. Its Core 5 320 appears considerably stronger than the N150 system in TechRadar’s cited 3DMark comparisons, but those scores alone do not establish how it performs in every workload.

Look elsewhere if you need upgradeable RAM, USB4, a confirmed storage layout with more expansion headroom, or a price that compares favorably with alternatives in your market. Before deciding, compare the same-region price and verify the workload-relevant performance, memory upgradeability, usable SSD slots and type, external connectivity, display needs and networking. Noise and thermals are also sensible comparison points, but the evidence cited here does not establish K5 measurements for either.
