Abu Dhabi’s Public Health Centre (ADPHC) and Ultrahuman Healthcare SP LLC have agreed to spend two years researching and clinically validating a Biological Health Age model that combines clinical biomarkers with wearable data. The 12 October 2026 announcement describes a development project—not a finished feature already running in Sahatna, Abu Dhabi’s health app.
What is Abu Dhabi doing with Ultrahuman?
The two-year memorandum of understanding sets out joint scientific research and clinical validation of a model intended to generate insights about biological health age. ADPHC says the work will bring clinical biomarker information together with wearable health data. The announcement frames the partnership as a way to develop public-health tools and support responsible use of health data; it does not say the model is complete or available to residents. The intended areas of insight include cardiovascular health, sleep, metabolism and recovery. The partners say the work aims to help people understand how those factors relate to long-term health and to support earlier intervention and more personalised recommendations. These are goals for the project, not demonstrated effects or proven predictions.
ADPHC Director General Dr. Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi described the rationale as a shift toward prediction, prevention and early intervention, and said the collaboration would help generate evidence and develop public-health tools. That is the authority’s stated rationale; it is not evidence that the model has improved health outcomes.

How could biomarkers and wearable data work together?

The proposed model is broader than a consumer ring: TechCrunch reported that it is intended to be wearable-agnostic. Ultrahuman Ring AIR is one example of a consumer health-tracking ring, but neither the official announcement nor the report says residents must own one—or that owning one alone is enough to calculate the public-health model. Will the model be available in Sahatna?
Sahatna is an existing Abu Dhabi health app. The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi announced its launch on 15 October 2024 as an integrated resident health app and said it included wearable wellness metrics such as sleep and steps. TechCrunch reported on 12 October 2026 that the model was eventually intended to be accessible through government digital-health platforms, including Sahatna and TAMM. The report describes a phased rollout but provides no schedule. Accordingly, there is no confirmed date for a Sahatna feature, and the sources do not establish that the model is currently available there.
What is known about privacy and data governance?
ADPHC’s announcement says data will remain within the emirate and names confidentiality measures, governance, clinical oversight and privacy protections. Those are announced commitments; the announcement is not a published technical audit of the system.

TechCrunch reported that Ultrahuman CEO Mohit Kumar said the company would deploy an algorithm on UAE data and would not have access to personally identifiable information through the program. This is Kumar’s description as reported by TechCrunch, not an independent assessment of the technical design. The available announcements do not detail the consent process, access controls, retention rules or how individual results would be shared.

The agreement announcement and current report do not publish the model’s architecture, validation protocol, participating population, device eligibility, result-sharing process or measured performance. No accuracy, health-outcome or risk-reduction figures have been announced. Until validation results and methods are made public, a biological-age estimate should not be treated as a diagnosis, a proven measurement of an individual’s ageing rate or a substitute for clinical assessment.
