The available figures come from different kinds of evidence: Geekbench’s live chart lists results from iPhone 17 Pro family devices using A19 Pro, while Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 scores on a comparison site are estimates without a documented, comparable test setup. Treat the numbers as context, not a definitive chip-versus-chip verdict.
What is actually being compared?
A19 Pro appears in Geekbench’s device results for iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Those are phone benchmark entries, not measurements of an A19 Pro chip tested in isolation. Qualcomm describes Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 as a mobile platform for smartphones, but the official material consulted does not identify a particular handset for the scores discussed below.

That distinction matters: a phone’s cooling, software, memory, power settings, and physical design can affect benchmark results and sustained performance. A score from an iPhone cannot automatically be treated as directly comparable with an estimate whose handset and test conditions are not documented.

|---|---|---|
| Device context | Geekbench’s mobile chart associates A19 Pro with iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Source: Geekbench Mobile Benchmarks | Qualcomm presents Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 as a smartphone platform; the retrieved official material does not name a test handset. Source: Qualcomm |
| CPU clock | Not stated in the cited sources. | Up to 2.7 GHz, according to Qualcomm. Source: Qualcomm product brief |
| CPU and GPU improvement | No equivalent comparative figure established in the cited sources. | Qualcomm says its Kryo CPU and Adreno GPU each improve 7% over the preceding generation. This is Qualcomm’s generational claim, not a comparison with A19 Pro. Source: Qualcomm |
| Connectivity | No directly comparable official specification was established in the cited sources. | Qualcomm lists Wi-Fi 6E and 3GPP Release 16 5G; its product brief specifies downlink speeds up to 2.9 Gbps. What the available benchmark figures show
Geekbench’s live iOS chart listed an iPhone 17 Pro CPU score of 3158 and an iPhone 17 Pro Max score of 3167 when checked on October 7, 2026. Its next chart displayed scores of 8775 and 8802 for those devices, respectively. These are live chart values observed on that date, not results from a year-specific study; the chart can change as new entries are added. Geekbench labels its CPU scores as calibrated against an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 baseline and says higher scores are better. Source: Geekbench iOS Benchmarks

NanoReview lists Geekbench 6 estimates of 1214 single-core and 3314 multi-core, plus an AnTuTu 10 total estimate of 854,884, for Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The page does not establish a controlled cross-device protocol or identify comparable test phones for these figures. They are secondary estimates, not a verified same-device contest against the Geekbench iPhone entries. Source: NanoReview comparison
It would be misleading to subtract or rank these figures as if they came from matching devices, software, thermal conditions, and benchmark runs. Benchmark version and test context are part of the result, not footnotes that can be ignored.

How to use this comparison when choosing a phone
For a purchase decision, compare actual phones rather than treating a platform’s peak score as the whole experience. Check:
- Exact model and configuration: identify the handset, memory configuration, operating system, and benchmark version behind each result.
- Sustained performance: look for repeated or longer workloads as well as short bursts, since cooling and throttling can change performance over time.
- Graphics and battery: compare the same graphics workload and consider power use, heat, and battery drain alongside frame rates.
- Connectivity: confirm the specific phone’s supported cellular bands, Wi-Fi features, and regional availability; platform-level support does not guarantee identical implementation.
- Whole-phone fit: weigh cameras, display, software support, battery life, and price for the specific models available to you.
The evidence here supports a description of each platform and a snapshot of reported scores, not conclusions about which phone will run every app or game better.
