Read the boundary between safe and unsafe ground
Before moving, determine exactly where the swarm begins and where the light stops protecting you. A route that looks short may cross an unlit gap. Stand at the edge of the current safe area and locate the next dependable source of illumination rather than aiming for the final exit in one dash.
Plan the next light source before leaving the current one
