Documented construction and specifications
The most complete configuration comes from A.H. Beard’s 2024 Harvey Norman King Koil brochure. Because that brochure is dated 2024, it may not describe every later or remaining unit. CHOICE provides a separate model listing with independently recorded physical specifications. Keep those sources distinct rather than combining them into one guaranteed build.

It also names a Performa edge-support component, which is relevant if you sit on the edge or use the full sleep surface. Firmness options: choose the exact feel, not just the model name
A.H. Beard lists four Chiro Estate feels: Plush, Medium, Firm and Super Firm. CHOICE labels its listed test model “Firm,” but that label does not prove that every Chiro Estate sold under the name has the same surface feel. A Plush version can use the same model family while feeling materially different from a Firm or Super Firm floor sample.

How to evaluate the four feels
- Plush: ask whether the store’s sample has the same upholstery and production date as the mattress being delivered. A softer surface can allow more shoulder and hip sink for side sleepers, but the right result depends on body shape and sleeping position.
- Medium: useful as a middle reference when partners disagree, provided both people lie on the exact displayed feel rather than a similarly named mattress.
- Firm: the feel attached to CHOICE’s listing. Do not assume “firm” means better support or that it will suit a particular back condition.
- Super Firm: the firmest advertised choice. Verify that the retailer’s sample is genuinely Super Firm and ask what post-purchase adjustment, if any, is available.
Spend at least several minutes in your normal sleeping positions, with your usual pillow, and have both partners test together. Note shoulder pressure, hip pressure, ease of turning and whether either person rolls toward the centre. A showroom impression cannot reproduce your bed base, room temperature, bedding, sleep duration or weeks of adaptation. Since A.H. Beard says it does not offer change-of-mind returns, the retailer’s written exchange or comfort-adjustment policy matters as much as the first lie-down.
Cooling and support: what the layers can—and cannot—tell you
The Chiro Estate’s design targets two common complaints: heat build-up and uneven support. The Coolmax cover and AeroComfort terminology indicate a breathable or moisture-management intent, while copper gel-infused memory foam is positioned as both a cushioning and cooling material. The Reflex Plus system is described as responding to body size and shape, and the pocket springs are intended to provide point-by-point support.
Those features describe how the mattress is engineered, not a guaranteed sleep result. Heat retention also depends on the sleeper, room, sheets, protector, duvet and foundation. Memory foam can feel warmer to some people even when a cover is marketed as cooling. If temperature is a deciding factor, ask the retailer whether the exact unit uses the documented cover and foam stack, and test it with the bedding you normally use.
Likewise, a coil count or a “support” name does not reveal firmness under your shoulders, pelvic support, motion transfer or durability. CHOICE’s accessible page shows that independent test results exist, but it does not expose the overall score or detailed performance breakdown. It would be misleading to turn the specification into a ranking or a claim about spinal outcomes.

A.H. Beard says the Chiro Estate is compatible with its adjustable bed bases. Confirm the base’s weight limit, flex profile and any warranty conditions with the retailer before pairing an older mattress with a different base.
CHOICE records its queen test model as 204 × 154 × 32 cm (equivalent to 2040 × 1540 × 320 mm). That is slightly different from A.H. Beard’s nominal queen dimension of 2030 × 1530 mm. Measure your frame and doorway, and use the dimensions supplied for the exact unit you are buying rather than assuming the two figures are interchangeable.

The CHOICE Chiro Estate listing records a price of A$2,199 and says A$1,750 was paid after a sale or bargaining. Those are historical figures in the listing, not current offers, recommended prices or evidence of what a retailer should charge now. The page marks the model discontinued and displays specifications including the spring count, layer count, thickness, weight, handles and queen test dimensions.

- The exact model name, size and feel (Plush, Medium, Firm or Super Firm).
- Whether the mattress is new, boxed, warehouse-held, a floor sample or previously delivered.
- The manufacture date or batch information, if available.
- The complete delivered price, including removal of an old mattress, stairs, delivery and any base.
- The retailer’s exchange, comfort-adjustment and cancellation terms.

Guarantee, returns and after-purchase adjustments
A.H. Beard’s product page and warranty information summarise a 10-year guarantee for the original purchaser, covering repair of faulty workmanship and materials. The summary is not a promise that every comfort complaint, sagging sensation or body impression will qualify. Read the current guarantee brochure for exclusions, permitted bases, care requirements, inspection rules and any limits that apply to an older or discontinued model.
A.H. Beard states: “We don’t offer change-of-mind returns but can adjust mattress support levels after purchase for a nominal fee.” Treat that as the manufacturer’s stated policy, then ask the retailer how it is implemented, what the fee is, which feels can be supplied and how long you have to request an adjustment. A support adjustment is not the same as a full refund.
Warranty claims require the original receipt and can be lodged through the retail partner or directly with A.H. Beard, according to the manufacturer’s summary.
