Tarek Mostafa’s DEV Community article points readers to a GitHub collection at github.com/tarek141177/the-unshakeable-developer. He describes it as a free set of engineering resources: a pull request covenant, a production blast-radius scorecard, and seven architectural blueprint diagrams. The repository’s current contents and license could not be independently confirmed, so treat those details as the author’s description and check the repository before relying on them.
What the collection is said to contain
Mostafa frames the materials as practical aids for engineering teams deciding how to review changes and think about production failure. The article describes three parts:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- A pull request covenant template intended to make reviewers consider failure modes, external API limits, schema migrations, and architectural sign-off before a change is merged.
- A production blast-radius scorecard described as a field-audit worksheet with six dimensions. The author says services are rated from 1 to 5 and gives circuit breakers, bulkhead isolation, and automated rollbacks as examples of resilience measures.
- Seven architectural blueprints presented as visual guides to engineering and team practices.
These are descriptions of the creator’s materials, not independent findings that the tools improve reliability or review quality.

- Get the template. The DEV article identifies the file as
.github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.mdin the linked repository. That uppercase spelling and the file’s present contents were not verified. If you cannot find it, use the repository’s current files or contact its maintainer rather than assuming the path. - Choose the documented location. In your own repository, add a Markdown file at
.github/pull_request_template.md, or adapt the template contents to that path. GitHub’s documentation describes this lowercase filename and location. - Adapt the prompts. Keep questions that match your team’s review policy. For example, ask authors to identify failure modes, affected external API limits, schema changes, and any architectural review needed. Avoid treating a completed checklist as proof that a change is safe.
- Open a test pull request. Confirm that the template appears in the PR body and that its prompts are useful to authors and reviewers. Revise questions that encourage automatic, unconsidered approvals.
Which tool fits the team’s immediate need?
| Resource | Scope described by the author | Consider it when |
|---|---|---|
| PR Review Covenant | Evidence and discussion for an individual proposed change | Your team needs a consistent way to surface risks during pull request review. |
| Blast Radius Scorecard | A broader audit of a service’s ability to contain failures | You want to examine service survivability before release, including resilience measures such as circuit breakers, bulkhead isolation, and automated rollbacks. |
The author presents these as tools for different scopes; no comparative test establishes that one is more effective. A team choosing between them can start with the gap it needs to address: review evidence for each change, or a wider look at failure containment across a service.
The seven blueprint titles
The article lists these diagrams. Their names and descriptions reflect the author’s framing; they should not be read as externally validated engineering findings.
