A Free URL Shortener With Click Analytics and No Signup: What’s Actually Available

Based on provider pages checked on October 7, 2026, none of the services reviewed is verified to offer free link shortening, click analytics, and use without signup all at once. Short.io advertises free analytics but asks users to sign up; TinyURL distinguishes free shortening from paid detailed analytics; and Bitly’s homepage does not clearly establish whether its analytics are available on the free tier or without an account. Check both requirements in a provider’s current terms before relying on it.

Can you get a free URL shortener with click analytics and no signup?

The reviewed provider pages do not confirm a service that meets all three conditions: free shortening, click analytics, and no account creation. These are separate requirements. A free short link does not necessarily include free reporting, and a free plan can still require registration.

Click tracking, geographic data, device and browser types, referrers, and time-based reports. Up to 1,000 branded links and custom-domain support are advertised for the free plan.
TinyURL Not stated on the reviewed homepage. Detailed click analytics are described as a paid-plan feature; free analytics are not established. Not stated for the free plan. Free URL shortening is offered; a free link limit or customization allowance is not stated on the reviewed homepage.
Bitly The reviewed homepage does not clearly establish whether use without signup is possible. The homepage advertises a free plan and describes analytics, but does not clearly establish whether those analytics are included in that tier. Geography, referrer, and device tracking are described. A free plan with no credit card required is advertised; link and customization limits are not stated on the reviewed homepage.

What each provider’s page establishes

Short.io: free analytics, but signup is prompted

Short.io advertises a free plan with analytics, up to 1,000 branded links, custom-domain support, and no credit-card requirement. Its FAQ describes click tracking and reporting by geography, device and browser, referrer, and time. However, the reviewed page tells visitors to sign up to get started, so it does not verify the no-signup part of the request.

TinyURL: free shortening, detailed analytics on paid plans

TinyURL’s homepage offers free URL shortening and says branded domains and detailed click analytics are available with paid plans. That distinction means free shortening alone is not evidence that free click analytics are included.

Bitly: free plan and analytics, but tier and signup details are unclear

Bitly’s homepage advertises a free plan with no credit card required and describes analytics such as geography, referrer, and device tracking. It does not clearly establish whether those analytics are included in the free tier or whether a user can create and track a link without signing up.

How to check a service before creating links

  1. Confirm signup requirements. Look for whether link creation or reporting requires registration. A no-credit-card plan is not the same as a no-signup service.
  2. Check the free plan’s analytics terms. Confirm that click reporting is included on the free tier rather than only on a paid plan or trial.
  3. Check what the analytics report. Providers may describe aggregate categories such as location, device, browser, and referrer. These categories do not identify an individual person who clicked.
  4. Review link and customization limits. Check limits on the number of links and whether custom domains or branded links are included if you need them.
  5. Recheck current terms before depending on a service. Plan features and limits can change, which matters for links you intend to keep using or reporting you need over time.
