If tiny wireless earbuds keep slipping out, first check that each bud is in the correct ear, then test tip and wing sizes separately for your left and right ears. Gently rotate each earbud into a comfortable, stable position and check the fit while moving. If your model offers a fit or seal test, use it; if adjustments still fail, look for compatible extra-small tips or a retention design made for your exact model.
Why small earbuds can still fall out
A small ear tip is only one part of fit. The earbud housing, the angle at which the tip sits, and the position of a wing, band, or hook can all affect stability. Manufacturers use different fit systems for different models, so there is no single insertion technique or tip-size rule that works for every pair.
Also, “tiny ears” do not necessarily call for the smallest tip in every case. A tip that is too large may prevent some earbuds from seating fully; for other models, the manufacturer advises trying a larger size if the bud does not fit securely. Treat the symptom and the model’s instructions as your guide.
Try this fit sequence before buying anything

Check left/right orientation and the installed parts
Confirm that each earbud is in the correct ear and that its tip or wing is attached in the way the manufacturer specifies. Do not assume a replacement tip that looks similar will fit another brand’s nozzle or attachment.

Test tip and wing sizes separately in each ear
Start with the included sizes and change one component at a time. Try the left and right ears independently: they may need different tip or wing sizes. Check that each tip seats properly, feels comfortable, and holds the earbud in place. For example, soundcore says a tip or wing that is too large can stop the earbud from seating fully, while Huawei’s general advice for earbuds that do not fit securely or fall out is to try a larger tip. Reposition gently
Use the movement recommended for your model. Sony says to twist the earbud to help slide its tip into position; gently lifting the top of the ear while twisting may also help. soundcore likewise recommends a gentle twist rather than simply pushing straight in. Stop if the motion causes pain or discomfort. Check stability while moving
After each adjustment, gently turn your head from side to side and look up and down. Avantree recommends these movements as a way to check whether its earbuds stay secure. If the fit holds only while you sit still, keep adjusting rather than assuming the fit is suitable for movement.

Run your model’s fit or seal test, if available
Follow the manufacturer’s app or support instructions for any in-app fit or seal test. soundcore describes its test as a way to check the seal; Bose provides an Earbud Seal Test for QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. A good seal can affect sound or noise cancellation on applicable models, but a passed test is not a guarantee that the earbuds will stay in place during every activity. If adjustment does not work, compare retention options
Some earbuds rely on a plain tip; others add a wing or stability band, or use a hook that wraps around the ear. These designs may provide another way to keep a bud stable, but the examples below are specific to their product lines, not evidence that one accessory fits all earbuds.

Buy replacement tips only after checking compatibility
Search using the exact earbud model, for example “replacement silicone ear tips for [exact model],” and add “XS” if you need an extra-small option. Verify the tip’s attachment and nozzle compatibility before ordering. Huawei’s Canada English support page documents model-family-specific attachment instructions and warns that FreeBuds 7i, 6i, and 5i tips are not interchangeable; similar appearance is not proof of compatibility. Check its replacement-tip guidance for the relevant product family.

Before buying any wing, band, hook, or tip, check whether it is explicitly intended for your model. If the product includes a charging case, also confirm against that product’s specifications that the chosen accessory still fits in the case; compatibility should not be assumed.

- Stop if the fit hurts. Do not force an earbud deeper or continue a rotation that feels painful.
