Choose F1 TV Pro if you want live F1 video with onboard cameras, team radio, and data tools. Choose Premium if you also want 4K Ultra HD/HDR, Multiview, and—where supported—up to six simultaneous devices. Access is the more limited option for timing data and full race replays; the official descriptions cited here do not establish live F1 video for that tier. Your available plans, price, and purchase route depend on your country.
Here’s what separates the tiers, how the 2026 changes affect availability, and what to check before watching on a television or other device.
What’s the difference between F1 TV Pro and Premium?
Formula 1 positions Pro as the live-action plan and Premium as an enhanced viewing option. Premium’s stated additions are 4K Ultra HD/HDR, Multiview, and support for up to six simultaneous devices in its launch description. These features are not a reason to assume every device or market supports every capability; check the local offer and device compatibility before subscribing.
| Plan | What Formula 1 says it includes | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| F1 TV Pro | Live feeds of every session at every event; driver onboard cameras, team radio, in-depth data, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Formula 1 describes it as high quality and ad-free. Formula 1’s plan description | Viewers who want live F1 video and additional camera, radio, and data feeds. |
| F1 TV Premium | Live F1 Grand Prix, Sprint, qualifying, and practice sessions in 4K Ultra HD/HDR; live F2, F3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup sessions. Multiview combines the main feed, onboard cameras, and live timing pages on one screen on supported devices. The launch description says up to six devices can watch at once. Formula 1’s Premium announcement | Viewers who want the cited higher-resolution picture, Multiview, or multiple concurrent devices. |
| F1 TV Access | Live race timing data and full race replays. The cited official description does not establish live F1 session video for Access. Formula 1’s plan description | Viewers for whom timing data and replays are sufficient, subject to local availability. |
Start with one question: do you need live video? If yes, compare Pro and Premium in your country. If no, Access may meet your needs if it is offered locally. Do not treat a replay-and-timing description as confirmation that Access streams live races.

What changed for F1 TV in 2026?
In its March 4, 2026 announcement, Formula 1 said every Grand Prix, Sprint, qualifying, and practice session would again be available live in 4K Ultra HD/HDR. It also said live coverage of F2, F3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup would return. Those are Formula 1’s announced 2026 offerings; availability and supported features still depend on the local plan and viewing setup.
The announcement also noted Latin American F1 Live commentary, recently added Japanese commentary and a localized user interface, and the first launch of Pro and Premium in South Korea. These examples show why plan access and experience should be checked by market rather than assumed to be universal.

United States: Apple distribution
For the United States, Formula 1 says Apple is the new official broadcaster and F1 TV will be included at no additional cost within an Apple TV subscription. Check Formula 1’s 2026 announcement and Apple’s current offer for the exact purchase, eligibility, and account experience. This arrangement is specific to the U.S. announcement and should not be applied to other countries.
Can I watch F1 TV on my TV?
F1 TV’s current subscription homepage lists Web, Apps, Google TV, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. That gives several ways to watch on a television, including a supported smart-TV platform or connected streaming device. You do not necessarily need to buy new hardware if you already have a supported television, device, phone, tablet, or computer.

Platform support does not guarantee that every plan feature works on every device or model. Formula 1’s Premium launch announcement initially listed Multiview on Apple iOS, the Chrome web browser, and tvOS-compatible devices. Confirm that your particular device supports the feature you want—especially 4K or Multiview—before choosing a plan.

F1 TV’s offer is regional. The official materials cited here do not establish a complete country-by-country availability list or current local prices, so a price or plan shown for one country should not be treated as global. Use Formula 1’s own subscription and help pages to see the offer for your location.

- Compare the displayed plan features with what you need: live video, timing and replays, 4K/HDR, Multiview, or concurrent devices.
- Check the price, billing period, and purchase route shown at checkout. If a broadcaster or platform bundles F1 TV access in your market, compare that offer before subscribing separately.
- Check the F1 TV Help Center for its subscription-comparison, location-availability, and supported-device topics, then verify the specific device-feature combination you plan to use.
For the United States, take the announced Apple inclusion into account; elsewhere, check the local offer rather than assuming the same bundle or rights arrangement applies.
