Open the webpage you want to capture.

Open Developer Tools with Ctrl+Shift+I or F12 on Windows or Linux, or Cmd+Option+I on macOS. Shortcuts can vary by Firefox version or customization. See Mozilla’s Firefox DevTools documentation.

Open DevTools Settings. Under “Available Toolbox Buttons,” check “Take a screenshot of the entire page.” The button is not enabled by default in the Mozilla documentation reviewed.

Click the screenshot icon in the DevTools toolbar. Firefox saves the image to the browser’s Downloads directory. For the button’s setup and behavior, see Mozilla’s “Taking screenshots” documentation.

Capture from the Web Console
Open the Web Console in Developer Tools and enter:

Consult Mozilla’s command reference for the helper’s syntax. If you save successive captures to the same filename, a later capture overwrites the earlier file.
Choose the right Firefox capture mode

Use Firefox Screenshots for a one-off capture
From the page, choose “Take Screenshot” in the context menu, or press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS. Select “Save full page,” then choose Download or Copy. These controls are described in Mozilla Support’s Firefox Screenshots guide.

Capture one element in the Inspector
In the Inspector’s HTML pane, right-click the target element and choose “Screenshot Node.” This captures that node and its descendants, not the full document.
Know what a full-page capture includes
Full-page mode captures page content outside the visible window; it is not the same as a viewport-only image. It does not guarantee that content hidden from the rendered page will appear, or that every site’s dynamic or lazy-loaded content will be ready in the image. If the screenshot misses something, check that the content is visible and has loaded before capturing; the documented controls do not promise to reveal content that the page has not rendered.

Troubleshoot common problems

The screenshot button is missing: Open DevTools Settings and enable “Take a screenshot of the entire page” under “Available Toolbox Buttons.”

The capture shows only the visible area: Confirm you selected the full-page button or used

The wrong content appears in the image: Dynamic or lazy-loaded content may not yet be rendered. Allow the page to load and display the needed content before capturing; full-page mode does not promise to reveal content that remains hidden.

A previous image seems to have disappeared: If you repeatedly use the same Console filename, the newer capture overwrites the older one. Choose a different value with
--filename. -
A shortcut does not open the requested tool: Shortcuts can vary by platform, browser version, or customization. Open Developer Tools or Screenshots from Firefox’s menus instead.
