In Playwright, use fullPage: true in JavaScript or full_page=True in Python. If content is still missing, check whether it appears only after scrolling and whether you captured the whole page or just a clipped region or element.
Use full-page capture instead of a viewport screenshot
A viewport screenshot records what is visible in the browser at that moment. A full-page screenshot is intended to capture the scrollable page beyond that viewport. Playwright documents full-page capture as a screenshot of the full scrollable page (Playwright Screenshots).

With a Playwright page already open and the page loaded, save the full page like this:

Browser screenshot controls
If you are using a browser’s built-in capture control, select a whole-page or full-page mode rather than the ordinary visible-area screenshot, if that mode is available. Menu names and steps vary by browser, platform, and version, so consult the documentation for your browser rather than relying on universal click-by-click instructions.
If full-page capture still misses content
Scroll-triggered content may not have appeared
Some sites load or reveal sections only when scrolling brings them into view. A full-page capture does not necessarily make page scripts behave as though a person scrolled through the page. A Playwright feature request describes a possible case where capture renders the document without moving the visual viewport, leaving scroll-triggered content unloaded (Playwright issue #40941). This is a potential cause, not a guarantee about every site, browser engine, or Playwright release.

Try scrolling through the page normally, waiting for the missing sections to appear, and capturing again. In automation, scroll in steps and allow the page to settle between steps. Verify the screenshot afterward rather than assuming the full-page option triggered the site’s loading behavior.
You may be capturing the wrong region
Check whether your code or capture tool is limited to the viewport, a particular element, or a clip rectangle. Playwright supports full-page screenshots, clipped screenshots, and element screenshots; those choices capture different areas (Playwright Page API; Playwright screenshot tools).

If the page contains a panel with its own scrollbar, identify whether the document or that inner panel is the area you intend to capture. A full-page screenshot of the document is not automatically the same as a screenshot of all the content inside a separately scrolling panel.
The page may not be ready
Asynchronous content can arrive after navigation or after the screenshot call begins. Wait for the relevant content to appear using an appropriate selector, delay, or loading condition for your workflow, then capture. The API’s capture options do not promise that a site’s asynchronous content is ready merely because the screenshot call ran.

Check the saved screenshot before changing more code

Open or preview the saved image.

Check that it includes the intended bottom edge and that there are no blank or repeated sections where content should be.

Compare the image with the page as rendered in the browser, including any inner scroll areas.

Based on what is missing, adjust the capture scope, scroll through the page before capture, or wait for the required content to load.
This simple check distinguishes a capture-scope problem from content that the page had not yet rendered. It also catches cases where the output file is valid but does not contain the part you needed.
Choose the capture method for the job

For repeat captures, a script can make the steps more consistent than a one-off browser UI capture. Output size is another consideration: Playwright supports CSS-pixel and device-pixel screenshot scales, and device scale can produce larger images on high-DPI displays (Playwright Page API).
