Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteYou do not pay YouTube for its live-streaming server URL or stream key. Those are connection details for sending a broadcast to YouTube through an encoder. If by “YouTube live streaming server” you mean Google Cloud’s paid Live Stream API, eligible Google Cloud customers in India can pay by UPI, subject to billing-account requirements.
First, identify what you are paying for
YouTube Live’s encoder workflow uses a server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio. You enter them in compatible streaming software or hardware to send a broadcast to YouTube; YouTube’s setup instructions do not describe this ingestion endpoint as a paid server. YouTube Help puts it this way: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.” See Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Google Cloud Live Stream API is a separate, paid cloud service for live encoding and streaming. Its charges depend on active channel time and input and output resolution. If that is the service you mean, the UPI instructions below apply; they do not establish that every YouTube creator needs to buy a cloud service. See Google Cloud Live Stream API overview.
Who can pay a Google Cloud bill with UPI?
Google documents UPI for qualified organizations in India, not as a payment option guaranteed for every customer. The billing account must have an Indian billing address and bank account, pay in INR, and use a configured, registered UPI account with a financial institution. Google says an initial prepayment is typically INR 500 to INR 1,000 before UPI can be added; this is a billing setup prepayment, not the Live Stream API’s price. Check Google Cloud’s UPI payment requirements for your account’s eligibility.

Google’s documentation describes using a UPI app generically. It does not guarantee that the standalone Google Pay app will be offered or work for every billing account. Use the UPI option shown in your eligible Cloud Billing account and follow the payment prompt in the app.
Make a one-time UPI payment
- Sign in to the Google Cloud account whose bill you intend to pay and open the Cloud Billing account’s Payment overview.
- Choose Make a payment or Pay early, then select Pay with UPI.
- Enter the amount, review the payment details, and continue until Google displays a QR code.
- Open a UPI-enabled app, scan the QR code, and follow the app’s instructions to authorize the payment.
Google’s steps are documented at Use UPI for Google Cloud payments. The option is subject to the account qualifications above.

Set UPI as the primary method for recurring payments
- In Cloud Billing, open Payment overview and add UPI as a payment method.
- Select UPI as the Primary payment method.
- Scan the QR code when prompted, then approve the UPI mandate in your UPI app.
Recurring payments require completing the mandate approval flow; adding UPI alone does not complete that authorization. Follow the current account prompts and Google’s UPI setup guidance.
If your Google Cloud account is invoiced
Google documents a separate invoice payment route for invoiced Google Cloud accounts in India: the PDF invoice includes a UPI QR code. Scan it with a UPI-enabled application and follow the remittance details printed on the invoice. See Google Cloud’s India payment instructions.

Estimate the Live Stream API cost before enabling a channel
The Live Stream API is billed on demand. Charges depend on active channel time and input/output resolution, and an active channel can incur charges even when no input stream is present. Google’s pricing page states a ten-minute minimum charge for an active channel; after that, duration rounds up to the nearest minute. Use the current Live Stream API pricing page and its calculator with your planned configuration and usage. A total cannot be determined without details such as channel count, resolution, encoding configuration, and runtime.
Choose the right setup for your goal
| What you need | What it does | Payment or setup point |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube Live encoder workflow | Sends a live feed to YouTube using a server URL and stream key configured in compatible software or hardware. | YouTube’s cited encoder setup explains the connection workflow; it does not describe paying for the ingestion endpoint. |
| Google Cloud Live Stream API | Provides cloud live encoding and streaming services. | Usage-based billing; UPI is limited to qualified Google Cloud accounts meeting India-specific conditions. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | One optional way to encode and send a broadcast to YouTube. | Not a requirement for UPI billing or for using YouTube’s encoder workflow. YouTube lists the AJA HELO Plus as a hardware option: encoder setup guidance. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep uploaded videos looping as a 24/7 YouTube channel, StreamNeo is a separate option from Google Cloud Live Stream API: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It runs from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home; it streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free day.
