For new users, Versionista directs sign-ups to Fluxguard, which lists an ongoing free plan. The Fluxguard plan is $0 per month and is intended for an individual monitoring a few pages. It is separate from the seven-day trial offered on paid plans. Existing Versionista customers are told their accounts remain supported, but the public information does not say that legacy accounts have the same limits as Fluxguard’s free tier.
What happens if you want to sign up for Versionista?
Versionista’s homepage directs people seeking new web change monitoring accounts to Fluxguard. It also says existing customers remain supported and do not need to make changes. That notice does not establish that existing accounts use Fluxguard’s interface or have its current plan allowances. What does Fluxguard’s free plan include?
Fluxguard lists a Free (Gyroscope) tier at $0 per month, described as suitable for an individual monitoring a few select pages. Its pricing page estimates this as three sites per month, with the estimate assuming roughly ten pages per site crawled once daily. The plan uses credits, so that estimate is not a guarantee of a fixed page count for every site or configuration.

How do credits and version history affect the free tier?
Fluxguard’s FAQ says each crawled page consumes one credit. Optional processing, including AI summaries, translation, and enhanced proxies, can consume additional credits. The FAQ also confirms that the free plan currently retains three versions per page; after unsubscribing from a paid plan, retention reverts to the free-plan level. Three stored versions can be enough to see recent changes, but it is a short history if you need to compare a page over a longer period. Before relying on a plan for a broad crawl, work out how many pages you expect to scan and how often, then check the credit allowance and retention terms shown for that plan.

Is the seven-day trial the same as a free plan?
No. Fluxguard lists an ongoing $0 tier separately from a seven-day trial of paid plans. According to its pricing page, billing for the selected monthly or yearly plan begins after the trial unless you cancel. Treat the trial as a way to try a paid plan, not as an extension of the free tier; check the displayed billing terms when you subscribe.
Which monitoring option fits your use?
- A few pages, one user: The listed free tier may be a reasonable starting point if its credit-based scale and three-version history are sufficient.
- More pages or more frequent crawling: Compare the selected plan’s credits and crawl options against the pages and schedule you actually need. The three-site figure is an estimate, not a universal page quota.
- A team: The free tier lists one user, so check paid-plan user limits if several people need access.
- Longer history or additional analysis: Compare paid-plan retention and features on the live pricing page, and account for optional credit-consuming processing such as AI summaries.
- An existing Versionista account: Treat it separately from a new Fluxguard sign-up until support or your account terms confirm what carries over.
What Versionista’s tutorials say about monitoring workflows
Versionista’s tutorials describe daily summary emails as the default, configurable report frequency, and instant alerts that can be enabled page by page. The tutorials also cover tracking additions or deletions of specified phrases on HTML pages and using filters to reduce irrelevant changes. These are explanations of Versionista’s monitoring concepts, not proof that every setting is present on every Fluxguard plan.

If your goal is to discover newly added pages, Versionista’s tutorial describes finding up to 50 URLs per scan, with a cap of 150 newly found URLs per monitored site, and letting the user choose whether to monitor discoveries.
