Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Muvi Live can serve as a hosted live-streaming layer that connects an encoder workflow with YouTube, but its published features do not establish that a YouTube broadcast will stay online continuously without operator attention. For 24/7 use, weigh Muvi’s plan and hourly infrastructure charges against YouTube’s archive and DVR limits, and confirm the exact routing and recovery setup with Muvi before relying on it.
What Muvi Live does—and what a 24/7 setup still requires
Muvi describes a workflow in which you create and configure a live stream, retrieve its stream URL and key, then connect a streaming encoder and start broadcasting. Its product materials advertise social-platform integration, including YouTube. YouTube’s encoder workflow separately requires entering YouTube’s server URL and stream key in the encoder. See Muvi’s feature overview, how Muvi says its service works, the Muvi Live platform page, and YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
The available instructions do not document a complete, verified recipe for routing a Muvi stream to YouTube continuously. Treat Muvi as one component in a broadcast chain, not as proof of end-to-end 24/7 delivery. Before committing, ask Muvi to confirm the required URL/key arrangement, supported encoder settings, reconnect behavior, and service-level terms for your intended configuration. Muvi’s statements about continuous use, unlimited streaming, and 24/7 support are vendor claims, not independent reliability measurements.
Muvi Live pricing and capacity
Muvi’s pricing page, accessed in 2026, lists the following base plans and allowances. These are vendor-published figures, not a complete estimate for a particular continuous stream; the page also lists infrastructure fees, and its FAQ says each active streaming-server hour costs $0.50. Recheck the live Muvi pricing page and obtain a quote for your audience, bitrate, stream count, and operating hours.

| Plan | Base price listed | Monthly bandwidth allowance | Monthly streaming hours | Concurrent users listed | Concurrent events listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $99/month | 100 GB | 10 | 10,000 | 2 |
| Professional | $299/month | 500 GB | 50 | 50,000 | 100 |
| Enterprise | $799/month | 1 TB | 100 | 50,000+ | Unlimited |
The pricing page lists these concurrent-user and event figures in its plan comparison. Because other page copy can describe capabilities broadly, ask Muvi to confirm the limits that apply to your specific account and infrastructure estimate.
For a continuous broadcast, the listed streaming-hour allowances are much lower than a month of uninterrupted operation. The $0.50 active-server-hour charge and infrastructure fees also mean the base subscription alone is not the total cost. Confirm how billable server hours, bandwidth, delivery, storage, and any overages apply before calculating a 24/7 budget.

YouTube limits that affect continuous streams
Archiving a stream longer than 12 hours
YouTube says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” That guidance is independent of Muvi. YouTube recommends keeping a local recording, so plan how to preserve the source content rather than relying on the live broadcast’s archive. Read YouTube’s archive guidance.
DVR and rewind
YouTube says DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. If viewers need to rewind or revisit portions of the broadcast, clarify that expectation and design the stream and any separate recordings accordingly. See YouTube’s DVR guidance.

Channel eligibility and concurrency
YouTube’s current Help guidance requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction during the preceding 90 days. It sets the minimum age for live streaming at 16, and allows up to 10 active streams per channel and 3 per stream key. These are YouTube limits, not Muvi plan limits. Check YouTube’s live-streaming requirements for current account eligibility and setup details.
Choosing between Muvi, a direct encoder workflow, and a cloud loop
The right approach depends on which parts of the broadcast chain you need. A direct YouTube encoder workflow may be sufficient if your goal is simply to send a live feed to YouTube. Muvi may be relevant if you need its hosted delivery or other advertised platform capabilities, but verify how those fit your exact YouTube routing plan and what the total infrastructure cost will be.

- Choose Muvi for evaluation if its hosted streaming layer or other platform features are part of your requirements, and Muvi confirms the configuration, limits, recovery behavior, and cost in writing.
- Use YouTube’s encoder workflow directly if you need a simpler path and can operate the source and encoder yourself. YouTube documents entering the server URL and stream key in the encoder, but a continuous setup still needs its own restart and archive plan.
- Consider a cloud service built to loop uploaded video if the goal is to keep prerecorded material streaming without leaving a computer running at home. StreamNeo is #1 for this use case: it runs an always-on YouTube stream from the cloud, accepts uploaded video at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
Muvi Live mobile app: a different workflow
Muvi Help documents a mobile-app path for streaming from an Android or iOS camera and sharing the generated HLS output. It describes latency as approximately under nine seconds, recommends 30 fps for most cases, and suggests 60 fps for games or sports. These are Muvi’s stated app details; they do not establish that the mobile app is a suitable or reliable source for an unattended continuous broadcast. See Muvi’s mobile-app instructions.
Questions to settle before relying on Muvi for 24/7 delivery
- Ask Muvi for the precise setup for sending its hosted stream to your YouTube destination, including which URL and key go into which system.
- Confirm the encoder software or hardware you plan to use is compatible. Muvi’s reviewed public materials do not certify a named hardware encoder.
- Ask what happens when YouTube or the source connection disconnects: whether the stream reconnects automatically, what the expected operator action is, and what service-level terms apply.
- Get a cost estimate for continuous hours and your expected audience, including the base plan, infrastructure fees, active server hours, bandwidth, delivery, storage, and overages.
- Plan local recording and audience replay separately from the live broadcast, because YouTube does not assure capture for a stream over 12 hours and DVR may be limited.
- Confirm the YouTube channel meets eligibility rules and that the number of simultaneous streams stays within YouTube’s limits.
Or let it run in the cloud
For prerecorded video on YouTube, StreamNeo avoids the need to keep a computer or home connection running. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded videos from the cloud. It streams to YouTube only, and it does not broadcast from a camera.
