Its help center describes uploading MP4 files, choosing Loop mode, and sending the stream to YouTube. BoxCast documents scheduled Simulated Live rebroadcasts to YouTube, including recurring events, but its reviewed instructions do not establish an uninterrupted infinite loop. That distinction matters: repeating scheduled broadcasts is not necessarily the same as one continuous 24/7 stream.
If you want a cloud service specifically described as keeping an uploaded video live on YouTube continuously, StreamNeo is another option to consider: it loops uploaded video from the cloud, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot and a free first day.

What Castr documents for prerecorded YouTube streaming
Uploading and arranging videos
Castr’s guide, dated July 8, 2026, describes uploading videos from a computer or cloud storage, selecting recordings in Castr’s hosting library, and adding and reordering multiple files. The guide says MP4 is currently supported. File size and the number of files depend on the subscription, so check the limits for the tier and playlist you intend to use rather than assuming a universal maximum. Castr setup guide

Choosing a loop or a scheduled start
Castr’s scheduling guide, dated April 24, 2026, distinguishes Infinite Loop from Date & Time scheduling. Infinite Loop continuously sends the video to the added platforms; Date & Time sets a scheduled start. For a continuous YouTube channel, Loop is the documented mode that matches the requirement. Adding YouTube and preparing the file
Castr’s YouTube connection guide describes connecting through an API or manually entering a YouTube streaming server and key. Its recorded-video settings guide recommends MP4, 1920×1080, 30 frames per second, 4,000 Kbps, and a two-second keyframe interval. It also recommends adding 10–20 seconds at the beginning and end of a file. These are Castr’s file-preparation recommendations, not independently verified requirements for every YouTube stream. Confirm the plan before paying
Castr’s documentation is inconsistent on loop eligibility. The help guide says prerecorded streaming is available on all plans and describes Loop mode; the product page says prerecorded live is included on every plan but infinite loop is available on Premium and higher. Because these statements do not resolve which current tier includes the specific continuous-loop function, verify the current plan matrix directly before subscribing. Also check storage, maximum file size and duration, playlist size, and concurrent-stream limits; the cited pages do not provide a complete current apples-to-apples limit table. Castr product details
What BoxCast documents—and what it does not
Simulated Live is a scheduled rebroadcast
BoxCast’s Simulated Live guide, dated April 28, 2023, says the feature can rebroadcast a past broadcast or uploaded video as if it were live, schedule future events, send them to the same destinations as other BoxCast broadcasts (including YouTube), and recur with the same content. The guide does not describe an infinite loop mode. Recurrence can suit repeat events, but the documentation reviewed does not establish that successive broadcasts become one uninterrupted 24/7 YouTube live stream. Simulated Live is also not available on every BoxCast plan. BoxCast Simulated Live guide

YouTube setup and event details
BoxCast’s YouTube integration guide, dated September 18, 2024, describes linking a YouTube account and selecting YouTube as a destination during broadcast scheduling. It says a YouTube account must be enabled for live streaming and that activation can take 24 hours after setup. BoxCast thumbnails do not carry over to social destinations, so the guide says to add the thumbnail separately to the YouTube event. The reviewed instructions do not provide a complete comparison of how each service handles YouTube titles, privacy settings, event creation, or all destination-specific metadata. BoxCast YouTube integration guide
Do not confuse pre-roll with a live YouTube loop
BoxCast separately documents a pre-roll video that loops in its embedded player while that player is offline or before an event. That is not evidence of a prerecorded video looping continuously as a live YouTube feed. The pre-roll guide recommends MP4, 720p, variable bitrate targeting 1–5 Mbps, H.264 High Profile progressive video, and AAC audio at 44.1 or 48 kHz; it says BoxCast does not transcode that pre-roll video. Those recommendations apply to the embedded-player pre-roll use case, not universal Simulated Live upload requirements. BoxCast pre-roll guidance

Choose based on the broadcast behavior you need
Choose Castr if continuous looping is the requirement
Castr is the stronger documented fit when you need prerecorded content to run continuously to YouTube: its materials explicitly describe an Infinite Loop mode and YouTube as a destination. Before committing, resolve the plan-eligibility conflict and confirm the file, playlist, storage, duration, and concurrent-stream limits for your account.
Consider BoxCast for scheduled repeat broadcasts
BoxCast may fit an existing BoxCast workflow or a use case built around scheduled Simulated Live events that recur. Its reviewed guide does not establish the uninterrupted loop behavior needed to recommend it for a single continuous 24/7 prerecorded YouTube stream. Confirm plan access and the exact broadcast behavior with BoxCast if that distinction is critical.

Consider a purpose-built cloud loop
If your main objective is simply to keep uploaded video playing live on YouTube without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo is a focused alternative: one slot runs an always-on stream from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. Every slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots, plus 24/7 looping, playlists, and StreamNeo team support. The first day is free with no card; UPI and cards are available in India, and card checkout is available worldwide. The same product is on every plan; only the billing period changes.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running, so nothing has to stay on at home. Video streams as uploaded at any quality up to 4K 60fps, with one price per slot; if YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. The first day is free with no card. Monthly is $9.99 per month. Start the free first day by creating a StreamNeo account.
