Its documented guidance does not establish a workflow for automatically playing an entire finished video file as the main live broadcast. Choose the method that matches your goal: schedule and host a live show, add prerecorded pieces to it, publish a YouTube Premiere, or use a cloud service built to loop uploaded videos.
First, choose what you mean by “stream a pre-recorded video”
These options can look similar to viewers, but they work differently:

Can Be.Live play a whole prerecorded video as the YouTube live stream?
Be.Live’s documented features support live broadcasts, scheduled broadcasts, offline recording, and prerecorded elements within a live production. The available documentation does not confirm that you can load an entire finished video file and have Be.Live automatically play it as the main live source. Do not assume that scheduling a broadcast or adding an intro or short clip provides that capability.
Be.Live’s Help Center describes Offline Recording this way: “Offline Recording allows you to record a broadcast without going live.” Its help page says the downloadable recording is an MP4, and the FAQ says it can take up to several hours for a download to become available, depending on the recording’s length. Use this mode when you want a file to publish or edit later—not when you need a live YouTube broadcast.

How to schedule a YouTube broadcast in Be.Live
Scheduling creates a YouTube broadcast event, but it does not start the show for you. Be.Live’s documented workflow is for a host-led broadcast, not for injecting a complete prerecorded file.
- Verify your YouTube account. Be.Live’s guide says verification can take up to 24 hours, so complete it ahead of the planned broadcast.
- Open Be.Live in a supported browser. Sign in using the latest Chrome or Safari on a desktop or laptop.
- Set the destination and schedule. In the studio, open Set destination, enable Schedule Stream, set the date and time, and select YouTube.
- Connect your Google Account. Choose the account for the YouTube channel and grant the requested permissions.
- Complete the event details. Select Public, Private, or Unlisted, upload a cover image, and enter the stream title and description. Save the event.
- Find and start the saved event. Open it from Scheduled streams and start the broadcast manually. The guide says to start within 10 minutes after the scheduled time, or you can start earlier.
Be.Live’s help page says a stream scheduled directly on YouTube cannot be linked in Be.Live as an existing scheduled show. If the event already exists on YouTube, do not assume Be.Live can attach to it using this scheduling workflow.

How to include prerecorded material in a Be.Live show
If you want a host-led live broadcast rather than a video that runs unattended, prerecorded elements can support the show without replacing the host-led format. Be.Live’s blog suggests using a prerecorded segment as a teaser or trailer. Its conference guide says: “If you want to add an intro/outro video, display images or short clips, you can easily do that as well.” These examples do not establish that a complete long-form video can autoplay as the entire broadcast.
- Use a short prerecorded teaser to introduce the subject, then return to the live host.
- Use an intro or outro to mark the beginning or end of the production.
- Use images or short clips as supporting material during the live show.
Before planning a show around a particular media file or playback control, check the current Be.Live studio and help materials: the documentation for these features may not reflect every change to the live interface.

What you need for a Be.Live live production
Be.Live lists a desktop or laptop, an updated Chrome or Safari browser, and a stable internet connection for conference streaming. An external camera, microphone, headphones, and lighting are optional equipment—not stated requirements. A separate microphone or camera may improve production quality, but you do not need to buy one simply to follow the documented setup.

Whether you use a live host, a Premiere, or an uploaded video loop, make sure you have the rights to every video, image, and audio track you use. A prerecorded file is not exempt from copyright rules just because it is presented as a live broadcast. Be.Live’s documentation about scheduling and adding clips does not establish permission to use third-party material. Use your own work or material you are authorized to broadcast, and check YouTube’s current policies for your channel and content.

Troubleshooting the documented Be.Live workflows
- The broadcast did not start at the scheduled time: Scheduling does not automatically start the show. Open the saved event under Scheduled streams and start it manually; Be.Live’s guide says to start within 10 minutes after the scheduled time or earlier.
- You cannot attach a YouTube event you already scheduled: Be.Live says a stream scheduled directly on YouTube cannot be linked as an existing scheduled show. Create the event through the Be.Live scheduling flow if you need to use that workflow.
- You cannot find the Offline Recording download yet: Be.Live’s FAQ says availability can take up to several hours, depending on recording length. The help page identifies the downloaded video as MP4.
- You expected a whole video file to play unattended: The documented examples establish prerecorded teasers, intros, outros, images, and short clips—not full-video autoplay as the main live source. Use a format or service that explicitly supports the outcome you need.
- The studio is not behaving as expected: Confirm you are on a desktop or laptop, using an updated Chrome or Safari, and have a stable internet connection, the setup Be.Live lists for conference streaming.
