Do not assume there is a grace period or that uploaded videos will remain recoverable. Keep an independent copy of every source file and check the service’s expiry, payment-failure, and retention policies.
What can happen when a cloud plan expires
A cloud provider controls whether its service continues to run your stream. Depending on its terms, expiry, cancellation, a failed payment or renewal, or an insufficient balance can lead to restricted access, a paused stream, or a stopped broadcast. Those are distinct outcomes: a stream may stop even if the uploaded file remains available, while file access may be restricted independently of the broadcast.
There is no universal cutoff time. Unless your provider promises a grace period or specifies when a stream will stop, do not count on either. An active broadcast might end at expiry, later, or under a different condition described in the provider’s terms.
What Looping Stream’s terms say
Looping Stream is one specific example, not a rule for every cloud service. Its terms say that when a plan expires or is cancelled, payment or auto-renewal fails, or the internal balance is insufficient, access to files, streams, or features “may be restricted,” and active broadcasts “may be stopped.” The terms do not promise a grace period or an exact cutoff time. Uploaded files may not stay available
Looping Stream’s current terms, accessed in 2026, say files may be stored for up to 30 days after expiry where technically possible, and may be permanently deleted afterward. This is a possible maximum retention window, not a promise that files will remain accessible for 30 days or can be recovered. The terms do not guarantee permanent storage, availability, integrity, recoverability, or backups. Keep your own copies before expiry rather than relying on later reactivation to restore a file.
You remain responsible for the content
Looping Stream’s terms say users retain ownership of supplied files while granting the service a limited license to process and transmit them as needed to operate the service. The user remains responsible for having the rights required to stream the material. Looping Stream’s terms

Separate a cloud-service cutoff from a YouTube interruption
A cloud subscription is only one possible cause of a loop stream going offline. YouTube applies its own terms and policies to live content and its archive. Its livestream terms require the creator to have the rights needed to use the content, including relevant music rights. YouTube Terms of Service
YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party content. If identified content remains in a stream, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate it; a copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also terminate a stream. Separately, a channel’s livestreaming ability may be restricted for policy reasons. YouTube Help: live-streaming restrictions · YouTube Help: live-stream copyright

Compare billing models before relying on a service
“Subscription expires” can mean different things depending on how a service bills. Check what event stops service, whether the broadcast stops or pauses, and how long files remain accessible. Provider descriptions below explain their published billing models; they do not guarantee against outages or YouTube enforcement.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to do before your plan ends
- Save the source videos somewhere you control. Download or retain the original files independently of the streaming service. Confirm that the copies open and play; do not treat a provider’s possible retention period as your backup.
- Read the provider’s current terms and billing page. Look for plan expiry, cancellation, payment and renewal failure, balance limits, file-access restrictions, deletion timing, and any recovery process. If the terms do not say when a stream stops or how long files remain accessible, ask support rather than assuming.
- Check your renewal and payment status. If you want the stream to continue, verify the renewal date, payment method, and balance before the plan ends. A successful renewal may address a billing trigger, but it cannot prevent a separate YouTube policy or copyright interruption.
- Review YouTube separately. Confirm the channel can livestream and that the video, music, and other material are cleared for use. A cloud plan cannot override YouTube restrictions.
- Plan a transition if you are changing providers. Keep source files available, check how the replacement service handles uploaded content and billing, and schedule any restart with the possibility of an interruption in mind.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping an uploaded video or playlist live; it does not stream from a camera. Upload your recording, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. Every slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Your video streams as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encode and no quality tiers; every plan has the same features, with only the term length changing. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly costs $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for plan details. Start your free first day with StreamNeo.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a cloud provider have to stop a stream the instant a plan expires?
Not necessarily. That depends on the provider’s terms; Looping Stream’s terms say an active broadcast may be stopped but do not specify an exact cutoff time.
Can YouTube take a loop stream offline while the cloud plan is active?
Yes. YouTube may interrupt or terminate a live stream for copyright or policy reasons, independently of the cloud subscription.
