For a continuous 24/7 YouTube loop, StreamNeo is the first service to consider: it runs uploaded videos from the cloud, supports the quality you upload up to 4K at 60 fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Gyre is another documented hosted option. OBS is a no-charge software encoder for people willing to run their own setup, while StreamYard’s documented pre-recorded broadcasts are finite, not a substantiated 24/7 loop.
Which services can run pre-recorded YouTube video continuously?
| Rank | Service | What it does | Best fit and caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | StreamNeo | Cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos, with looping and playlists. | For a hands-off continuous stream: your computer can be off, it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream, and every slot supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60 fps at one flat price. |
| 2 | Gyre | YouTube identifies Gyre as a cloud tool for 24/7 streaming of pre-recorded video. Gyre describes uploading videos, arranging looping playlists, scheduling a broadcast, and running it in the cloud. | For creators seeking a hosted loop. The documented material does not establish independent uptime, support, or performance comparisons. |
| 3 | OBS Studio | YouTube lists OBS as open-source recording and live-streaming software at no charge. | For people who want a software encoder and can manage the computer and stream themselves. The cited documentation does not establish unattended 24/7 reliability or playlist recovery. |
| 4 | StreamYard | Schedules a pre-recorded video to start automatically and ends the stream when the video finishes. | For a scheduled, finite broadcast—not a documented continuous loop. Its listed duration limits depend on plan. |
For StreamNeo, the same service and features apply across plans; only the billing length changes. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. StreamNeo supports YouTube only.
How to choose the right kind of service
Continuous loop or one scheduled broadcast?
A hosted loop repeats a playlist to keep a channel live continuously. A scheduled pre-recorded broadcast plays a video at a chosen time and ends when playback finishes. Pick based on the outcome you need, not just whether a service accepts video uploads.
Cloud operation or a computer you maintain?
A cloud service runs the stream away from your home computer. With OBS, the computer running the encoder and its internet connection become part of the setup you must maintain. YouTube describes an encoder as software or standalone hardware that converts video into a format suitable for streaming, and lists both hosted and desktop options in its encoder documentation.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What to confirm before relying on a service
- Does it repeat a playlist continuously, or only schedule a finite video?
- Can it start and stop on a schedule, and what happens after the video ends?
- What file format, size, resolution, and bitrate does it accept?
- Does it run in the cloud, or must your equipment and connection stay active?
- How does it handle a dropped YouTube connection, service maintenance, or a failed upload?
- What are the price, storage allowance, destination support, and access or export options?
The available product documentation does not establish a dependable head-to-head comparison of long-run stability, support response, or total operating cost for these services. Check current terms and features directly before committing to a long-running broadcast.
What StreamYard documents for pre-recorded streams
StreamYard’s help page says its pre-recorded streams use MP4 files with H.264 video encoding. It lists a 10 Mbps upload bitrate limit, output up to 1080p on paid plans, and duration limits by plan. The scheduled stream starts automatically and ends when the video finishes.

OBS and hardware
YouTube lists OBS as no-charge open-source software, but that does not make a 24/7 setup unattended: you still need to operate and maintain the computer, network, and stream. YouTube also recognizes standalone hardware encoders. A dedicated device is optional; the available documentation does not establish that one is necessary or support a particular model recommendation.

Protect your channel and recorded content
Before broadcasting, confirm you have the rights to the video, music, images, and other material in every playlist item. A recording being old, publicly viewable, or already uploaded does not by itself establish that you may rebroadcast it. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance and the platform’s current live-stream and monetization policies for your situation.
Do not treat a 24/7 loop as a guaranteed way to increase watch time, revenue, or monetization eligibility. Gyre makes numerical growth claims on its own marketing pages, but those should be understood as vendor claims, not independently established outcomes.

Common problems and what to check
- The stream ends after one playback: confirm you selected a continuous playlist-loop workflow. A scheduled finite broadcast, such as the documented StreamYard flow, ends when the video finishes.
- The broadcast does not start on schedule: check the scheduled time and time zone, video upload completion, and whether the service reports the file as ready. Verify current service-specific setup instructions.
- A local OBS stream stops when you leave: the software encoder depends on the computer and connection running. For a cloud workflow, use a hosted service rather than relying on a home machine to remain available.
- YouTube drops the stream: check the encoder or provider’s connection status and YouTube’s live control room, then confirm whether the service reconnects automatically. Recovery behavior is service-specific; do not assume every tool provides it.
- A video is rejected or looks wrong: compare its format, encoding, size, resolution, and bitrate with the service’s current upload requirements. StreamYard’s cited guidance specifies MP4/H.264, a 10 Mbps upload bitrate limit, and up to 1080p on paid plans.
- A stream is blocked or a channel is at risk: review rights to all recorded material and check YouTube notices and current policies before restarting.
