For a single aarti program, schedule a YouTube Live event, connect an encoder, then start the feed and complete the go-live step. For a channel that should stay live around the clock, you need an encoder or automation service that keeps sending video, plus a plan for monitoring, interruptions, and archiving.
Choose between a scheduled event and a continuous channel
A scheduled YouTube Live event creates a watch page for a particular broadcast. You can share that page in advance and viewers can set reminders. The encoder still has to send the video feed, and someone—or a configured automation workflow—must bring the event live.
A 24/7 channel is a different operation: a persistent video feed must keep reaching YouTube. Google’s Live Streaming API describes a broadcast and its incoming stream as separate resources that can be linked. That architecture supports continuous-broadcast workflows, but it is a developer and automation path, not an in-Studio setting that makes a scheduled event repeat forever.

Prepare the channel and the aarti videos
Check live eligibility early
Verify the YouTube channel and enable live streaming well before launch. YouTube says first-time live activation can take up to 24 hours. Its general eligibility guidance also states that the streamer must be at least 16 and the channel must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Check the channel’s current status rather than waiting until the planned broadcast.

Confirm recording and music permissions
Before streaming, make sure you have permission for the particular performance, recording, and any music included in it. Devotional subject matter does not, on its own, establish that a recording is free to broadcast. The available YouTube setup guidance does not settle aarti-specific rights questions, so do not treat this checklist as legal advice or assume that a publicly available video can be rebroadcast.
Build and test the playback sequence
Prepare the recording or playlist that your encoder or cloud service will send. Test the complete sequence—including audio levels, the transition from the end of a video back to the beginning, and what happens if the feed or network is interrupted. Keep a restart procedure available. These are operational precautions, not a YouTube uptime or failover guarantee.

Schedule a single aarti event in YouTube Studio
- Open the live control workflow: in YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream.
- Create the event: create a new stream or reuse prior settings, then set the event details and planned start time. Scheduling gives you a watch-page URL to share and lets viewers set reminders.
- Connect the encoder: enter the YouTube stream URL and stream key in your encoder. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to the stream.
- Start the feed and check the preview: start the encoder at the planned time and confirm that the expected video and audio appear in Live Control Room.
- Start the event: when the preview is ready, select Go live in Live Control Room. Starting the encoder feed is not the same as completing this step for a scheduled event.
- End the program: stop the encoder and end the stream when the event is over.
Use the encoder’s YouTube-compatible connection settings and test them before the public event. The available setup information establishes the stream URL and key workflow but does not specify bitrate, resolution, frame rate, or keyframe values for this particular setup; choose settings supported by your encoder and YouTube’s current guidance rather than relying on guessed values.
Keep a channel live continuously
DIY: keep an encoder or automation workflow running
For a continuous feed, arrange a persistent source that can keep supplying your aarti videos to the YouTube stream. The YouTube API model separates the broadcast event from the incoming stream; a continuous workflow must keep both the YouTube side and the encoder or automation side in the expected state. This is more involved than scheduling one event in Studio.

- Use an encoder or automation setup that can play the recording or playlist continuously and send it to the correct YouTube stream.
- Monitor the outgoing feed, audio, and loop transitions. A scheduled start does not remove the need to check that the feed is still arriving.
- Plan how an operator will restart the feed if the encoder, connection, or YouTube stream stops. The official setup guidance explains how to connect and start an encoder; it does not promise uptime or automatic failover.
- Protect the stream key and test the full restart procedure before relying on an unattended run.
- Decide how to preserve recordings separately if you need a complete archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that statement does not establish that a longer, uninterrupted 24/7 stream will be saved as one complete replay.
Account for channel and stream-key limits
YouTube’s current Help guidance states a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. This matters if you operate backup feeds or multiple language or temple streams. Check YouTube’s current limits before launch because platform rules can change.

- Preview: confirm that the correct aarti video is reaching Live Control Room and that audio is audible and at an appropriate level.
- Continuity: test a full loop, including the transition between the last and first items in the playlist.
- Interruption: simulate or rehearse a feed interruption and verify the operator’s restart process.
- Archive: if a replay matters, arrange a separate recording or archive plan for a continuous stream longer than YouTube’s stated under-12-hour automatic archive behavior.
- Access: limit access to the stream key and ensure the person responsible for recovery can reach the encoder or automation setup.
Troubleshoot common failures
The event is scheduled, but viewers cannot see a live feed
A scheduled watch page is not the incoming video. Check that the encoder is sending to the correct stream URL with the matching stream key, confirm that a preview appears in Live Control Room, and complete the Go live step.

Live streaming is not available yet
Check channel verification, age eligibility, and whether a live-streaming restriction applies. If this is the channel’s first activation, allow up to 24 hours for enablement and make the check before the launch date.
The aarti stops or the feed drops
Check whether the encoder or automation stopped, whether its connection was interrupted, and whether the YouTube stream remains active. Follow the restart procedure you tested; do not assume YouTube will restore a feed automatically.
The playlist plays once and then ends
A scheduled event does not itself repeat uploaded videos. Configure the encoder or automation to loop the playlist, or use a cloud service that provides looping, and verify the end-to-start transition before going live.
A long broadcast has no complete replay
YouTube’s stated automatic archive behavior applies to streams under 12 hours. For a longer continuous run, use a separate recording or archive strategy rather than assuming one complete replay will be available.
