To connect Livepush to YouTube, open the dashboard for the stream you want to send, choose Add Destination → YouTube, authorize your YouTube account, select a channel or create a live event, then save and enable the destination. If you do not want to link the account, you can instead enter the event’s YouTube RTMP stream key in Livepush. YouTube says first-time live-stream activation takes at least 24 hours.
Before you start
- A Livepush account.
- A Google account and YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. YouTube says the channel must be verified; enabling a first live stream takes at least 24 hours after the first request. See YouTube’s guidance on streaming across platforms.
- A Livepush stream card: either Live Input or Pre-recorded Live.
If you have just requested live-stream access for the first time, allow for YouTube’s activation delay before troubleshooting Livepush.
Connect YouTube with account authorization
This is Livepush’s one-click account-linking route. Livepush says the connection retrieves the event’s RTMP settings automatically. Dashboard labels can change, so use the current labels shown in your account.
- Sign in to Livepush and open the relevant Live Input or Pre-recorded Live stream card.
- In that stream’s dashboard, select Add Destination, then choose YouTube.
- Select Login with YouTube and complete Google’s authorization flow.
- Choose the YouTube channel you want to use. If you need a new event, select New Live Event, then enter its title and description and choose its privacy setting.
- Select Save Destination and wait for the save to finish.
- When you are ready to send the stream, turn on the YouTube destination’s switch.
Linking the account also enables Livepush features that require authorization, including YouTube comments in Livepush Multi chat and title management, according to Livepush’s account-linking overview.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Connect with a YouTube stream key instead
Use the manual route if you do not link the YouTube account. The key is the credential Livepush uses to send the stream to the selected event, so do not share it publicly.
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live, then create or choose the event you intend to stream to.
- Copy that event’s RTMP stream key from YouTube Studio.
- In the relevant Livepush stream dashboard, select Add Destination → YouTube → Configure Stream Keys.
- Enter the copied key and save the destination.
- Enable the YouTube destination switch when you are ready to send the stream.
Livepush’s manual-connection guide says this setup must be repeated for each YouTube live event, and manually connected YouTube comments do not appear in Livepush Multi chat. A stream key by itself also does not provide authenticated title controls. If a key is exposed or stops working, use the current YouTube Studio controls; the Livepush setup guide does not specify key rotation or recovery steps.

Troubleshoot a missing or inactive YouTube destination
- YouTube is not available to select: confirm that the YouTube channel is verified and live streaming is enabled. A first-time activation request can take at least 24 hours.
- The destination appears, but no stream is sent: confirm you selected the intended channel or event, saved the destination, and switched it on.
- The manual destination does not connect: check that the key belongs to the exact YouTube event you selected, then save the destination again. Manual setup is event-specific.
- An account-linked destination was disconnected: reconnect the YouTube account and save the destination again, as Livepush’s destination overview recommends.
- You are streaming to more than one platform: YouTube recommends that active accounts be in good standing, that your upload speed support the combined target bitrates, and that you monitor stream health during the broadcast. See YouTube’s cross-platform streaming guidance.
Or let it run in the cloud
Livepush connects a stream destination; if your goal is specifically to keep prerecorded video running on YouTube around the clock, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on; videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, then Monthly is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
