To play several music videos in one continuous YouTube live stream, arrange the clips in order in a playback workflow that can advance through them, send that program to YouTube using an encoder, and monitor it in YouTube Live Control Room. Before setting anything up, make sure you have the necessary rights to stream every video and its music. You can run playback from a computer, use a cloud service such as StreamNeo, or use supported dedicated hardware; the right choice depends on how much unattended operation you need.
Before you build the stream
Clear the rights to every video and track
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live feed with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material; if the content remains, the stream can be interrupted or terminated. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also end a live stream. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams before broadcasting.
YouTube’s livestream terms make the provider responsible for having the rights needed to use the live content, including applicable music rights. Owning a video file, finding a track online, or having a personal music subscription does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it. Rights depend on the material, territory, and intended use, so confirm permissions with the relevant rights holders and check applicable licensing requirements.
If you have permission to use material that is matched by Content ID, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its allowlist where applicable. YouTube says a stream may still be interrupted without allowlisting even when you have a license or restrict the stream’s territories. An archived live stream may receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Check channel eligibility early
YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. The person streaming must be at least 16. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned broadcast.
Choose a way to play the clips continuously
The playback system must move from one video to the next without stopping the feed sent to YouTube. A streaming encoder sends that feed; depending on your workflow, playback and encoding may run on a local computer, in the cloud, or on dedicated hardware. YouTube’s encoder directory lists software and hardware examples, but does not prescribe one universal playlist-and-loop procedure. Check the current documentation for whichever playback and encoder tools you choose.

| Route | What YouTube’s directory establishes | What to check for your setup |
|---|---|---|
| Local software encoder | OBS is listed as free, open-source streaming software. | Whether your playback arrangement can advance and loop the files reliably, and whether the computer can stay awake and connected for the entire broadcast. |
| Cloud service | YouTube describes Gyre as a cloud service for 24/7 streaming of pre-recorded video without a dedicated PC. | Confirm the service’s current playlist controls, supported stream length and quality, recovery behavior, terms, and pricing. |
| Dedicated hardware | YouTube describes AJA HELO Plus with PlayToStream as a way to schedule pre-recorded media directly to YouTube Live without a computer. | Check that the current product supports your files and scheduling needs, and whether the equipment cost makes sense for your use. |
These examples are not a universal ranking. The practical trade-offs are computer dependence, unattended scheduling, setup effort, monitoring and recovery, and cost. YouTube’s directory does not establish comparative pricing or reliability.
Set up and test the YouTube stream
- Prepare the ordered program. Organize the music videos in the playback tool you selected. Check the order, clip transitions, and whether the chosen workflow can continue from the last clip to the next without ending the output. Confirm the tool’s current instructions for playlisting and looping.
- Open YouTube Studio and create an encoder stream. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room, choose the encoder streaming workflow, and create or select a stream. Follow the current on-screen prompts; labels and layout can change.
- Connect the encoder. Copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder unless you are using a YouTube preset that connects the account directly. Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it, and reset it if it is exposed.
- Start playback and inspect the preview. Start the encoder or cloud/hardware workflow, then check the Live Control Room preview before making the event public. Verify both picture and sound, including the handoff between clips.
- Check the viewer experience. Confirm the event can be reached from the channel or watch page and check it on a mobile device. YouTube recommends preparing the encoder in advance and continuously monitoring audio and video during the stream. An unlisted test can help catch playlist, audio, and stability problems before a public broadcast.
- Monitor the broadcast. Keep an eye on Live Control Room and the playback system. If you rely on a local computer, keep it powered, awake, and connected; if you use another workflow, follow its instructions for status checks and recovery.
- End the event cleanly. Stop the YouTube event and then stop the encoder as directed by YouTube’s live-streaming tips. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume a longer broadcast will be archived.
Limits to keep in mind
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance states that a channel can have up to 10 active streams and a stream key can be used for up to 3 streams. If your setup reaches either limit, review the current encoder setup guidance before creating more streams or reusing a key.
