To check whether YouTube is receiving the feed properly, open Live Control Room and review stream status and stream health. A title or description saying “24/7” does not prove the stream is currently live.
Check whether your stream is live in YouTube Studio

Sign in to YouTube Studio for the channel that runs the stream.

Select Content, then open the Live tab.

Check the Live Now category. YouTube defines it as videos that are currently live streaming. The page separates these from Upcoming streams and Live Replay videos, so a scheduled broadcast or replay is not a current live stream. See YouTube’s guide to managing live streams.
Check stream health and errors
Being listed as live and having a healthy incoming feed are related but different checks. To diagnose the feed, open Live Control Room and inspect the stream status and health. YouTube says this area can show error messages and instructions; its help page explains that the Live Dashboard and Live Control Room check for errors in the stream being sent to YouTube. Understand error severity and timestamps

YouTube describes red errors as critical and potentially disruptive to starting or viewing an event.

Yellow errors are moderate and may reduce stream quality.

An error’s timestamp indicates when YouTube detected it. If it remains unfixed, it continues to appear.
Check as a viewer
If you do not operate the channel, open the stream’s public watch page and check its current playback/status. You can also browse YouTube’s Live section for current streams. You do not need encoder setup instructions just to see whether an existing broadcast is live.

If a 24/7 stream is missing or appears to have stopped

It is not under Live Now: Check the channel’s Live tab and verify the stream’s current status. Do not rely only on its title or 24/7 description.

It is listed but has errors: Open Live Control Room, note the error and timestamp, and follow the displayed instructions. Treat red errors as critical; yellow errors may indicate degraded quality.

You only see an upcoming event or replay: Those are distinct from a stream that is live now.

You are checking someone else’s channel: Use the public watch page or YouTube Live browsing page; Studio diagnostics require channel access.
