What the Kindle Colorsoft adds
Amazon describes the 16GB Kindle Colorsoft as a color-display e-reader for viewing book covers, photos, images, and graphic novels in color. It also supports colored highlights and Page Color, which inverts page backgrounds. The device has adjustable warm light and fast page turns, according to Amazon’s product listing.
Color is most useful when it changes how you read: for example, when illustrations, diagrams, comics, or color-coded highlights matter. If you mainly read text-only books, the color display may not add enough value to justify paying more than you would for a Kindle without color.
What is known about the sale price
On September 29, 2026, Tom’s Guide reported the Colorsoft Essentials Bundle at $201, compared with a stated $346 reference price. The report described a 16GB Colorsoft, fabric cover, and 9W power adapter, and warned that price and stock could change: Tom’s Guide’s deal report. That price is not a confirmed October 3 offer.

Amazon announced Prime Big Deal Days for October 6–7, 2026, and said early deals included savings on a Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle, without giving a price in the announcement: Amazon’s event announcement. Amazon’s June Prime Day article also documented a previous Colorsoft 16GB bundle offer; its June 23–26 event is past, so those deals are historical rather than current: Amazon’s June Prime Day coverage.
Before buying, open the listing for the precise configuration and confirm its price, availability, and bundle contents. A listed bundle is only a value if you want the included accessories; Amazon’s promotions and stock can change.

Check eligibility and meet the return deadline
Amazon’s terms require eligible items to meet its acceptance and condition rules. Eligible Amazon devices, including some Kindles, can be dropped off at participating locations.
