Thermal Grizzly and Noctua introduced the WireView Pro II Noctua Edition on 27 September 2026. It combines the WireView Pro II’s per-conductor GPU power monitoring and alerts with a customized, semi-passive Noctua cooling system designed to make the device quieter in use. Its monitoring features may suit owners of high-end graphics cards with a 12V-2×6 connector, but the right variant and physical fit depend on the GPU, cable route and case clearance.
What the WireView Pro II Noctua Edition does
The WireView Pro II is a power-connector monitoring device for modern graphics cards with a 12V-2×6 connection. Rather than reporting only an aggregate figure, it measures current on each individual 12-volt conductor as well as total power, voltage and temperature. The readings appear on an integrated TFT-IPS display, and the device stores data internally for retrospective review. Essential operation does not require optional PC software. Users can adjust thresholds for visual and audible warnings. The included splitter cable also enables configurable automatic shutdown when a defined limit is exceeded. Those features can help flag a potential connector or power issue, but monitoring is not a substitute for correctly seating the GPU power connector or following the graphics-card maker’s installation guidance.
What Noctua changes
The Noctua Edition retains the WireView Pro II’s monitoring and alert functions, but replaces its cooling arrangement with a customized heatsink and enlarged CNC-machined aluminum housing, a grille and a Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM fan. The fan operates semi-passively: it stays off under lower heat and power conditions, then starts when cooling is needed. In practice, the change is primarily about fan behavior and noise, rather than a different monitoring feature set.

How much quieter is it?
Noctua’s 2026 measurements compare the Noctua Edition with the standard WireView Pro II. In Noctua’s tests, the standard model’s fan reached about 5,000 rpm and measured 39.4 dB(A) at 10 cm, while the Noctua Edition measured about 21.5 dB(A) at 10 cm with its fan running slightly below 2,000 rpm. Noctua also gives converted figures at 1 m of 19.4 dB(A) for the standard version and 1.5 dB(A) for the Noctua Edition. These are manufacturer measurements, not independent results or guaranteed noise levels in every PC. See Noctua’s technical case study for its test details.
Noctua also tested fan behavior with case fans disabled and internal case temperature above 40°C. In that deliberately demanding setup, the Noctua Edition’s fan remained off through a 300 W GPU load. At 400 W, it started after 4 minutes 25 seconds; at 480 W, after 2 minutes 50 seconds. Under the same reported conditions, the standard version started after 5 minutes 40 seconds at 200 W, 2 minutes 15 seconds at 300 W, 1 minute 40 seconds at 400 W and 1 minute 25 seconds at 480 W. Noctua reported an average GPU connector temperature about 3°C lower with the Noctua Edition across the tested loads. All of these figures are from Noctua’s 2026 tests, not universal predictions for other cases or GPU configurations.

Normal or Reversed: choosing the right variant
The Noctua Edition is offered in Normal (N) and Reversed (R) orientations. Thermal Grizzly’s guidance assumes a horizontally installed graphics card with its power cable routed downward; the GPU connector orientation and intended cable path determine the suitable version. Although the display can be rotated in settings and the device also serves as a 90-degree adapter, neither feature guarantees that it will physically fit a particular build.
Before ordering, use Thermal Grizzly’s current compatibility list and technical drawing to check the exact graphics-card model and orientation. Also verify clearance to the case side panel and CPU cooler, and consider how the adapter affects the power cable’s route. A match on connector type alone is not enough to establish compatibility.

Price, availability and warranty terms
The joint announcement dated 27 September 2026 listed suggested retail prices of EUR 189.90 and USD 219.90, with availability through Thermal Grizzly and its sales partners from launch. Thermal Grizzly’s shop page showed $222.18 when accessed on 3 October 2026; shop pricing and stock can change. The product page also describes a two-year extended warranty covering damage to a GPU’s 12VHPWR or 12V-2×6 connector if the applicable warranty conditions are met. Read the full terms rather than treating this as unconditional insurance. The announcement is available from Noctua.
