Its latest surfaced quarterly results also showed higher company-wide revenue and net income. But the available figures do not establish that RCMT shares were undervalued as of October 3, 2026, so the growth evidence supports further consideration—not a complete buy case.
What RCM Technologies does
RCM Technologies is a business-services company, not a manufacturer of consumer products. It operates across three segments: Specialty Health Care, Engineering, and Life Sciences, Data and Solutions. The Engineering business provides design and engineering services in energy, process and industrial, and aerospace markets, alongside consulting and project solutions. The other segments provide healthcare staffing and teletherapy, and technology and industry-specific services.
Fiscal 2025 revenue mix shows why company-wide results should not be treated as an Engineering-only story:

Engineering revenue grew in fiscal 2025
RCM reported $120.486 million in Engineering revenue for fiscal 2025, up from $96.459 million in fiscal 2024. The 10-K breaks the 2025 segment revenue into $58.743 million from time-and-material work and $61.743 million from fixed-fee work.
The growth is meaningful evidence for the business case, but annual revenue alone does not show whether the increase will persist or whether Engineering margins improved. Period length also matters: fiscal 2025 ended January 3, 2026 and contained 53 weeks, while fiscal 2024 contained 52 weeks. The reported year-over-year change is therefore not a like-for-like comparison of weeks.

Latest surfaced results show company-wide growth
In its August 13, 2026 results announcement for the thirteen weeks ended July 4, RCM reported revenue of $93.8 million, 20.0% above the comparable prior-year quarter’s $78.2 million. GAAP net income increased to $4.9 million, or $0.68 per diluted share, from $3.8 million, or $0.50 per diluted share. Adjusted EBITDA, a company-defined non-GAAP measure, was $9.3 million, up 14.8% from $8.1 million.
For the first 26 weeks of fiscal 2026, revenue was $176.9 million, up 8.7%, and GAAP net income was $8.7 million compared with $8.0 million. These are consolidated figures. They do not establish the Engineering segment’s growth rate for the quarter. See the company’s second-quarter 2026 announcement.

Why the growth data do not prove the shares are cheap
A growing business can still be an unattractive investment at the wrong price. The available materials do not provide the contemporaneous share count, balance-sheet cash and debt, or a consistently defined earnings or cash-flow denominator needed to calculate a current valuation multiple. Nor do they establish a comparable peer valuation.
RCM’s investor-relations page displayed a $40.67 share quote dated September 28, 2026. That is a dated observation, not the October 3 price, and the quote alone cannot establish whether the stock is cheap. A defensible valuation would require a share price and share count from the same date, cash and debt, a clearly specified earnings or free-cash-flow measure, and comparison with businesses whose mix and risk profile are reasonably similar. Risks that belong in the buy decision
Customer exposure
At January 3, 2026, the largest Engineering client represented 17.2% of accounts receivable, according to the 2025 Form 10-K. This is a receivables figure, not a share of revenue. The filing also says three clients each represented more than 10% of accounts receivable at that date, making customer exposure relevant when assessing the stability of collections and project activity.
Different business cycles
RCM combines staffing and teletherapy with engineering and technology services. Those businesses can face different demand conditions, so consolidated growth can mask weakness or strength in an individual segment. The quarterly figures available here do not include a segment-level Engineering growth rate.

Growth is not the same as shareholder returns
The annual Engineering revenue increase and the latest consolidated profit growth do not, by themselves, demonstrate durable growth, margin expansion, cash generation, or attractive future returns. A buy decision needs those questions answered alongside valuation rather than assuming that sales growth guarantees investment performance.
What the evidence supports
- Supported: Engineering revenue increased in fiscal 2025, and total company revenue and GAAP net income rose in the reported second quarter of 2026.
- Not established: That Engineering’s quarterly growth matched the company-wide rate, that segment margins improved, or that growth will continue.
- Not established: That RCMT was undervalued on October 3, 2026. The evidence available here does not support a current multiple or peer comparison.
On these facts, Engineering growth is a positive part of the RCMT thesis, but “low valuation” remains an unverified premise. The evidence is not sufficient on its own to call the stock a buy.
