365 Finance says it can make a decision on a complete small-business finance application within three hours. That is a decision-time claim—not a guarantee of approval or of money reaching an applicant’s account within three hours. The lender’s announcement also describes automated screening alongside human underwriting, while trade coverage reports same-day funding of up to £500,000.
What the three-hour claim covers
Coverage published on 1 October 2026 says the three-hour timeframe applies to complete applications. It refers to the time to a credit decision, not necessarily the time to approval or funding. Neither the announcement nor the cited coverage guarantees that every applicant will qualify or receive funds within three hours. The Intermediary and Mortgage Solutions report the decision-time claim.
How 365 Finance says its underwriting works
According to Business Money, more than half of 365 Finance’s credit decisions are fully automated, with a further proportion receiving light-touch review. The lender says this approach allows underwriters to focus more attention on complex applications. It also says at least two underwriters review each application, so automation is part of the process rather than a replacement for human review.
Anthony Or, 365 Finance’s head of underwriting, said: “Crucially, speed can never come at the expense of rigour.” He also described automation as a way to streamline standard cases while dedicating more time and expertise to complex applications. These are statements about the lender’s approach; the cited coverage does not provide independently audited performance data for decision times or underwriting outcomes.

Decision time versus funding time
Trade coverage reports that 365 Finance offers same-day funding up to £500,000. That is a separate claim from deciding a complete application within three hours. The coverage does not establish that a particular applicant will be approved, receive a particular amount, or have funds transferred the same day.
On its official website, 365 Finance describes its product as revenue-based finance: a business receives a lump sum and repays a percentage of future card sales. Because repayments are linked to card transactions, amounts may vary with card takings. The site markets the funding for uses including cash flow, growth, hiring, and buying stock or equipment, and says funding can arrive in as little as 24 hours. That general funding-time statement does not specify the conditions for an individual application or explain how every case relates to the separate three-hour decision claim.

What the announcement does not establish
The cited coverage does not set out detailed eligibility rules or application requirements beyond the need for a complete application. It also does not provide the full fees, pricing, total repayable, or contract terms. Those details matter when assessing any finance offer; a fast decision alone does not show whether a product suits a business.
Business Money also reports that 365 Finance works with more than 100 commercial finance brokers and serves sole traders and SMEs directly. This is a figure reported in coverage of the lender’s announcement, not an independently verified market statistic.
