USI says the offering provides dedicated, A-rated property insurance capacity, with coverage options that may include flood, earthquake, named storm, equipment breakdown and terrorism. Combined with USI’s existing excess property solution, the facility can provide up to $50 million in dedicated property capacity for a single risk, according to the company.
What USI announced
USI describes the Flex Property Facility as a flexible source of property insurance capacity that can be used across property placements or program structures. The company says it is available in all 50 states and exclusive to USI commercial risk clients. That stated geographic reach does not establish that every risk or coverage is eligible in every state.
USI says Innovation Growth Partners Specialty (IGP Specialty), part of the USI family of companies, was heavily involved in developing and servicing the facility. The launch announcement does not identify participating insurers or say who holds underwriting authority. USI’s October 1, 2026 announcement provides the company’s high-level description.
How the $50 million capacity figure works
The up-to-$50-million figure is for dedicated property capacity on a single risk when the new facility is combined with USI’s existing excess property solution. USI does not say that the Flex Property Facility by itself supplies $50 million, nor does the announcement break out the capacity supplied by each solution.

Which coverages may be included
USI says a placement can include coverage for flood, earthquake, named storm, equipment breakdown and terrorism. These are possible coverage categories, not a promise that every placement includes all five. The announcement does not give peril-specific limits, sublimits, deductibles, exclusions or policy wording.
What prospective clients should confirm
The launch release is not a policy form or quote. Before relying on the facility for a specific property or program, a client should ask USI for the terms applicable to that placement:

- Which perils are covered, and what policy wording applies to each?
- How much capacity is available from the facility alone, and how much—if any—comes from USI’s excess property solution?
- Does the particular risk qualify in its state, and are there state- or risk-specific conditions?
- What are the limits and sublimits, deductibles, exclusions and price?
- Which insurer or insurers will underwrite the placement?
USI’s release does not answer those placement-specific questions, so the announced availability and capacity should not be treated as confirmation of coverage for an individual risk.
