The report does not identify the daycare or worker. It says the video’s poster later claimed police and Child Protective Services (CPS) were involved, but it provides no independent confirmation from either agency and no official finding or case outcome.
What the report says the video depicts
The Nerd Stash identifies the person who posted the video as @isabelitaharrison and describes a clip showing two workers sitting outside with children. According to the report’s description of the social-media video, one worker allegedly pulled a child by the hand, raised her voice, slapped a child’s hand, appeared to pinch a child’s arm, and did not appear to respond to a crying child while using a phone. The report also says the worker appeared to pull a child wearing a blue shirt by the hair.
These are allegations as described by the outlet, not adjudicated findings. The report does not supply independent verification, the full original video context, or an official determination about what occurred. A clip’s online description alone does not establish abuse or criminal liability.
What has been reported about police and CPS
The Nerd Stash says the poster later claimed police contacted her after threats were reportedly made and that she went to the Fairfax Police Department to file a report. The outlet also reports that a subsequent update from the poster said police and CPS knew about the situation. Those follow-up details are attributed to the poster; the article does not include independent statements from Fairfax police or CPS confirming an investigation or its status.

What the post and commenters said

These are social-media statements reported by The Nerd Stash, not official findings or evidence that resolves what happened.

How Virginia handles suspected abuse or neglect in daycare settings
Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) says suspected abuse or neglect in out-of-family settings, including daycare programs, must be investigated. In general, CPS assesses child safety, interviews relevant people, observes the setting, checks for prior reports, and may develop a safety plan. These statewide procedures explain what may happen in such reports; they do not confirm that CPS investigated this particular incident.
Investigation timing and findings
DSS says an investigation generally must be completed within 45 to 60 days. The period may extend to 90 days when law enforcement is also investigating, and specified cases can have additional timing exceptions. After reviewing the information, CPS determines whether a report is “founded” or “unfounded.” DSS defines founded as information showing it is more likely than not that abuse or neglect occurred.

CPS findings are separate from criminal charges
A CPS administrative investigation is separate from a criminal proceeding. Law enforcement and the Commonwealth’s Attorney determine whether criminal charges will be filed. A report that authorities are aware of a concern, even if confirmed, would not by itself establish a CPS finding or criminal charge.
