Ye (Kanye West) will not perform at the two St Petersburg concerts scheduled for October 10 and 11, 2026. Organiser Say Agency announced on September 30 that the shows would not take place on those dates. It did not give a reason and said ticket holders would be reimbursed, with details to follow.
What was cancelled?
The planned concerts were at Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg. Reports described both dates as sold out before the cancellation. Say Agency’s notice concerned the October 10 and 11 performances; it was not an announcement about every possible future Ye show in Russia.
The Guardian quoted Say Agency’s Telegram statement as saying: “Friends, it is with sincere regret that we inform you that the Ye concerts in St Petersburg on the scheduled dates will not be able to take place.”
Why were the concerts cancelled?
Say Agency did not state a reason in its September 30 notice. The venue dispute and public criticism are documented, but the available reports do not establish either as the cause of the cancellation.

The venue contract dispute
In August, Gazprom Arena said it had not signed a rental agreement for the event and that the concert could not take place at the stadium. The venue also said it was not the organiser. The Guardian and The Daily Beast quoted its statement: “Gazprom arena was not, and is not, the organiser of this event.” Say Agency disputed the implication that the concerts had been cancelled after the arena’s announcement, saying at the time that they were still planned. Its later notice confirmed they would not proceed on the scheduled dates.
Public criticism
Reports noted backlash over Ye’s antisemitic statements and Nazi imagery. Russia’s foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova had called the planned concerts unacceptable, citing what she described as Ye’s glorification of Hitler. These reactions provide context, not a confirmed explanation from Say Agency.

What should ticket holders do?
Say Agency said ticket holders would be reimbursed, but the reports available by October 3 did not include the refund rules or conditions. The practical next step is to watch for the organiser’s promised follow-up and check the ticket seller’s notices for instructions. Do not assume a particular refund process or timeline until those details are published.
