QAD | Redzone is positioning Manufacturing Intelligence as a layer that connects manufacturing data, systems, workflows and decisions—not as a replacement for ERP. Announced on September 22, 2026, the vision is to move beyond software that records transactions toward software that can interpret operating context and help people decide and act. That “system of action” framing is the company’s ambition, not a demonstrated outcome.

What QAD | Redzone announced

At its Champions of Manufacturing event in Chicago on September 22, 2026, QAD | Redzone introduced Manufacturing Intelligence as a strategic layer spanning manufacturing processes, workflows and systems. The company says it will combine manufacturing expertise, operational data and AI to help identify changes, interpret their implications, determine responses and support action in the systems where work happens. It also says the approach is intended to extend beyond its own products into mixed technology environments. These are stated goals, not evidence that every part is already delivered.

QAD | Redzone describes the shift as evolving ERP from a “system of record” into a “system of action.” In conventional ERP usage, the system records transactions and provides a structured view of business operations. The proposed intelligence layer would add cross-system context and decision support, with a route from insight into operational workflows. The distinction is useful as a description of the strategy; it does not establish that the platform autonomously makes or executes decisions.

How the platform pieces fit together

The company presents Manufacturing Intelligence as working across an existing platform rather than as a standalone replacement product. Its named components are Adaptive ERP, Redzone Connected Workforce, Supply Chain and ChampionAI. QAD | Redzone’s account assigns them complementary roles: ERP as the operational backbone, Connected Workforce as a link to frontline execution, and ChampionAI as a way to bring intelligence into workflows. Its platform overview describes ERP, agentic AI, connected workforce and supply chain as parts of that portfolio.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  • Adaptive ERP: the core operational system in the company’s platform framing.
  • Redzone Connected Workforce: frontline manufacturing software intended to connect workers and execution processes.
  • Supply Chain: the platform component addressing supply-chain operations.
  • ChampionAI: the AI component QAD | Redzone says can bring intelligence into workflows.

The strategic change is in the connections among those roles: the company wants operational signals and manufacturing context to inform decisions across systems, rather than remain isolated in separate applications. The announcements do not specify a complete implementation architecture, which customers or processes will be supported first, or how the intelligence layer will behave in each workflow.

What is available now—and what remains a plan

QAD | Redzone’s September announcement pairs the longer-term Manufacturing Intelligence vision with platform innovations it says are available today. It separately announced that it plans to integrate NVIDIA accelerated computing and AI into the effort. The NVIDIA announcement describes an intended connection between factory-floor observations and manufacturing context held in ERP, supply-chain, quality and workforce systems. It should not be read as confirmation that a finished, broadly deployed integration is available.

Why the QAD and Redzone combination matters

The portfolio brings together enterprise resource planning and frontline workforce software. QAD said its acquisition of Redzone closed on February 1, 2023, describing Redzone as a connected-workforce solution for manufacturing. That history helps explain why the current strategy emphasizes connecting ERP context with shop-floor work rather than treating manufacturing intelligence as an ERP-only feature.

In a September 21, 2026 explainer, QAD | Redzone’s Head of Product, Platform & Manufacturing Intelligence, Chaitanya Josyula, defined the concept as “QAD | Redzone’s vision for bringing manufacturing-specific intelligence across the systems, workflows, and decisions that run a manufacturing business, from the shop floor to the top floor.” The definition clarifies the intended scope, but it is the company’s own description.

What manufacturers should look for when evaluating the claim

The practical test is not whether a vendor uses the phrase “system of action,” but whether the software connects a meaningful operating signal to a dependable decision and an appropriate workflow. A manufacturer evaluating the announcement can ask:

  • Which systems and data sources can the intelligence layer actually access, including non-QAD products?
  • Which decisions are supported, and does the system explain the context behind a recommendation?
  • Does a human approve an action, or can software execute it? Which permissions and safeguards govern that step?
  • Which capabilities are currently available to customers, and which remain roadmap items?
  • What evidence demonstrates operational results in environments comparable to the manufacturer’s own?

These questions distinguish a strategic direction from an implemented capability. The public announcements describe intended functions and platform positioning, but do not independently establish realized customer outcomes attributable to Manufacturing Intelligence or results from the planned NVIDIA integration.

Bottom line on QAD | Redzone’s bet

QAD | Redzone is betting that manufacturing software can do more than store transactions: its announced direction is to combine ERP, frontline execution, supply-chain context and AI so information can inform work across systems. The concept is coherent as a platform strategy, particularly given the QAD-Redzone portfolio. The crucial distinction is timing and proof: Manufacturing Intelligence is the company’s announced vision, platform innovations are described as available today, and the NVIDIA integration remains a plan. Performance claims should wait for evidence of deployed capability and measured outcomes.
