UNHYPE says it sold out 10,000 limited-edition VD Signature Routines during a two-week pre-booking window, generating ₹1.3 crore in revenue. The totals were reported by media outlets based on company statements; the reviewed coverage does not independently verify the sales or revenue.
What UNHYPE says it sold
UNHYPE is a skincare brand co-founded by actor Vijay Deverakonda. The reported launch edition comprised 10,000 routines, not 10,000 individual products. Because each routine contained three items, the total represented 30,000 skincare products across the Acne Safe and Brightening variants, according to Mint and The Tribune, which republished an ANI report.
What was in each routine
Coverage described each three-step set as a face wash, moisturiser and sunscreen. The reports name the Acne Safe and Brightening versions but do not give ingredient lists, prices, clinical results or evidence comparing their performance. There is not enough reported information to rank one above the other or make claims about efficacy.
How much revenue did UNHYPE report?
UNHYPE attributed ₹1.3 crore in revenue to the launch routines sold during the two-week pre-booking period, according to Mint and ETRetail. This is company-reported revenue, not reported profit. When did pre-booking and sales take place?
ETRetail reported that pre-bookings opened on September 11, 2026. Reports said initial shipping was planned for September 21 and regular sales were planned to begin on October 3, 2026, through unhype.in. The reviewed coverage does not confirm that regular sales actually opened on October 3, so that date should be understood as an announced plan, not verified availability.
What Vijay Deverakonda said about the launch
Mint quoted Deverakonda, UNHYPE co-founder, saying, “India has shown immense love and trust, but as a founder, I don’t have expectations. I have responsibilities for the brand.” The Tribune’s ANI republication attributed this comment to him about the sell-out: “We knew we had built something we believed in, but seeing 10,000 routines sell out in two weeks is incredible.”

The announcement indicates that UNHYPE says its limited launch quantity was taken up during pre-booking.
