The market backdrop
The same report also noted a broader market pullback on the day of Micron’s decline. That context matters: an individual stock’s daily move can reflect company-specific expectations and market-wide forces together.
Why is Cramer sticking with Micron?
As reproduced by PrimeXBT with attribution to CNBC, Cramer pointed to a growing pipeline of strategic customer agreements and the possibility of a December buyback. The report quotes him saying, “I don’t know why you’d sell it now” ahead of that buyback kicking in. This is Cramer’s bullish view as reported by that outlet, not a guarantee that a buyback will occur or that it will lift the share price.

The customer pipeline could matter to investors if agreements translate into durable demand and revenue visibility. A potential buyback could return capital to shareholders, but the cited report describes it as a future possibility; it does not establish that it has been completed or is assured.
What Micron management expects for memory supply and demand
CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said on Micron’s fiscal Q4 earnings call that the company expected memory and storage supply-demand conditions to be much tighter in fiscal 2027 and 2028 than in 2026. PC Gamer reported the remarks from the call. This is management’s outlook, not a confirmed future market condition. If tighter conditions materialize, they could support the bullish view; the outlook alone does not settle questions about margins or the effects of capacity investment.
