Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is listed as Nintendo Switch software, not as a native Switch 2 edition. Konami specifies 30fps for the Switch version; GamesRadar separately reports that the Switch demo runs at 60fps when played on Switch 2. That demo result is encouraging, but it is not an official frame-rate promise for the final game.
Does Belmont’s Curse run at 60fps on Switch 2?
There are two different claims to keep separate. Konami’s product specification says “60fps (Nintendo Switch™ version: 30fps)”. That makes 30fps the publisher-stated frame rate for the Nintendo Switch version.
For Switch 2, GamesRadar reports that the Switch demo runs at 60fps when played on the newer console. This is a report about demo behavior through compatibility, not a published specification for the finished game on Switch 2. The official material cited here does not give a Switch 2 resolution measurement or confirm final-build performance.
Is there a native Switch 2 edition?
No native Switch 2 edition appears in the official listings checked. Nintendo’s US store identifies the product as Nintendo Switch software and marks it “Supported – Game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch.” That describes Switch 2 compatibility for the Switch version; it does not establish a separate, enhanced Switch 2 release.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
So the practical distinction is straightforward: you can play the listed Switch software on Switch 2, but the 60fps figure reported for the demo should not be treated as confirmation of a native edition or a guaranteed final-game mode.
Platform and frame-rate details
| Version or situation | What is established |
|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch version | Konami specifies 30fps on its product page. |
| Switch software played on Switch 2 | Nintendo lists it as supported, with behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch. |
| Switch demo played on Switch 2 | GamesRadar reports 60fps; this is demo reporting, not an official final-game specification. |
| Other announced platforms | Konami announced PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam/PC. Its general 60fps specification contrasts with the Switch version’s 30fps; it does not by itself establish the settings or performance of every platform build. |
Frame rate and image quality are separate questions. The official listings cited here do not state a Switch 2 resolution, and no verified, like-for-like price comparison is available in those listings.

Standard and Midnight Editions
Konami lists a digital Standard Edition and physical and digital Midnight Editions. The Midnight Edition includes the game, a Digital Sound & Art Gallery, Trevor and Sypha costumes, and the Family’s Grace relic. Konami says the physical version requires an additional download from the online store, so the disc or physical package does not mean the full game can be installed without downloading.
Konami’s European announcement says the gallery contains 71 tracks. Select EMEA retailers may offer an exclusive SteelBook or tarot card, subject to retailer, local availability, and stock. Those bonuses should not be assumed to apply in other regions or at every retailer.
