If Samsung says your ZIP or postal code is invalid, first check the address saved in your Samsung account profile. In a browser, sign in, open Profile → Edit personal information, review the address and country/region, then save the corrected details. Samsung lists Postal Code as an editable profile field. If the correct local code is still rejected, check whether the error is on a different form and contact Samsung Support rather than trying a different country or a made-up code.
First identify which Samsung form is rejecting the code
The fix depends on where the error appears. Samsung’s documented profile-edit process applies to personal information in your account; it does not establish that checkout, shipping, billing, Wallet, account creation, or every regional Samsung service uses the same postal-code validator.
- Profile edit: Review the address saved to your Samsung account using the steps below.
- Another Samsung service or form: Note its name and the exact error. A profile change may not correct a separate form’s address or validation issue.
Update the postal code in your Samsung account profile
- Sign in to your Samsung account in a web browser.
- Open Profile, then select Edit personal information.
- Check the postal code together with the street address, city, state or province (if requested), and country/region. Correct the details as needed.
- Save the changes and see whether the original profile form accepts them.
Samsung’s instructions identify Postal Code as one of the personal-information fields that can be edited. Samsung: How to update personal information in a Samsung account.
Check the account country or region before changing it
Your address fields and your Samsung account’s country/region are separate settings. Samsung says, “Your Samsung account country determines which services and features are available on your device.” If the account country is genuinely incorrect because you moved, review Samsung’s country or region change instructions. Do not change it just to test different postal codes.

Understand the consequences and eligibility limits
Samsung’s country-change policy says that connected devices are automatically signed out and that you must wait 180 days before changing the country again. Some accounts are not eligible, including certain family or child accounts, phone-number-only IDs, some underage accounts, accounts tied to Mainland China, and Galaxy Store seller accounts. Service availability and purchase-history display may also change. Read the current on-screen notice before confirming; contact Samsung Support if the option is unavailable or the change fails.
If the correct code is still rejected
Samsung’s published guidance does not specify one postal-code format that works in every country and Samsung form, nor does it identify one universal cause for validation errors. Avoid assuming that a particular number of digits, punctuation, spacing, or placeholder code will solve the problem.

- Confirm whether the error occurs in the account profile or another named Samsung service.
- Verify the related address fields and the account country/region, then save any legitimate corrections.
- If the valid local code still fails, contact Samsung Support for the relevant country or region. Samsung advises contacting support when a country-change attempt fails.
When you contact support, provide the exact error text, the page or service where it appears, the account country/region, and whether you were editing profile information or entering an address elsewhere. This helps distinguish a profile issue from a problem with a separate form.
