Andreessen Horowitz and Accel co-led the round. Armadin says the financing puts its valuation above $2.5 billion and brings its total funding to $445 million.
What is Armadin?
Armadin is an offensive-security company that says it uses specialized AI agents, guided by human experts, to continuously test an organization’s attack surface. Its stated aim is to find and validate chains of weaknesses that could let an attacker move from an exposed system toward other systems or cloud resources, then help security teams prioritize fixes.
Founder and CEO Kevin Mandia described the approach at launch in March 2026 as an “intelligent fleet (Armada) of agents and humans” searching for attack paths continuously. The company’s October funding announcement similarly positions the platform as a response to attackers using AI to find and chain weaknesses quickly. Those statements describe Armadin’s product vision and rationale; they are not independent measurements of its performance.
Who invested in the $255.5 million round?
Andreessen Horowitz and Accel co-led the Series B, announced October 1, 2026. New investors Bain Capital Ventures and Redpoint joined returning investors 8VC, Ballistic Ventures, Google Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Kleiner Perkins, and Menlo Ventures.

Armadin says its agents probe an organization’s attack surface, exploit and connect weaknesses, and present security teams with validated attack paths rather than isolated issues. The idea is to show how a set of vulnerabilities might combine into a practical route through an environment, giving defenders a basis for prioritizing remediation.
The company said it was running campaigns in production for Fortune 500 enterprises and government customers. It has not named those customers in the available announcements, and the adoption claim has not been independently confirmed. The available coverage also does not provide an independent technical evaluation, published testing methodology, or third-party results establishing the platform’s effectiveness or safety. Organizations considering the service would need to assess its scope, authorization and operational safeguards, evidence for findings, and fit with existing remediation processes directly.
How does the CrowdStrike partnership fit?
Armadin announced a strategic partnership with CrowdStrike on April 30, 2026. The announcement said Armadin would provide continuous offensive testing, while CrowdStrike’s experts and ecosystem would help customers prioritize findings, remediate weaknesses, and harden defenses. It establishes a stated collaboration around testing and remediation, but does not by itself establish a reseller or referral arrangement.

What the funding announcement means
The round gives Armadin substantial new capital to pursue the scale-up it says it plans, and the company’s reported valuation indicates strong investor backing. It does not, on its own, show that the platform’s attack-path findings are accurate, safe to run across different environments, or more effective than other security assessments. Those are product questions that the financing announcement does not answer.
