The app is presented as an Android TV companion, so a television or streaming device that already runs compatible Android TV or Google TV software may be enough; a new streamer is not automatically required. There is also a specific, unconfirmed report to keep in mind: on September 24, 2026, a Plex forum user said Watch Next integration stopped appearing after updating to Plex 2026.17.0 or later on a Google TV Streamer 4K running Android TV OS 14, with Plex server version 1.43.4.10903. What to do if Plex rows are missing
- Check the current Google Play listing and verify that Channel Connect is available for your Android TV or Google TV device.
- Open the app and review its current setup and personalization options; the listing describes channel rows and Play Next/On Deck synchronization, but options may vary by version.
- Check the television’s launcher separately from Plex’s app. If content appears inside Plex but not on the launcher, the two surfaces are behaving differently; consult the device’s home-screen settings and the app’s current guidance.
- If Watch Next or Continue Watching disappeared after a Plex update, compare your Plex and device versions with the forum report, then check for newer app or Plex updates and current support information. The report alone cannot identify the cause on another device.
