How to Show Google, Facebook, and Yelp Reviews in WordPress

To show Google, Facebook, and Yelp reviews together in WordPress, install a plugin that explicitly supports all three sources, connect the business listings and Facebook Page, then add its Gutenberg block, shortcode, or widget to your page. One WordPress.org option, Reviews Widgets for Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp & Recommendations, lists Google reviews, Yelp reviews, and Facebook recommendations in a combined feed. For a single selected Yelp review, Yelp also provides its own embed code.

Choose a display method

Pick the method based on whether you want one selected review or an ongoing feed. A combined feed is the straightforward route for displaying multiple platforms together; a native Yelp embed is a simpler choice when one recommended Yelp review is enough.

Option What it supports Placement Limits and access
Reviews Widgets for Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp & Recommendations Google, Yelp, Facebook Recommendations, and TripAdvisor, according to its WordPress.org listing. Gutenberg block, shortcode, or classic widget. The listing describes up to 10 Google reviews and 3 Yelp reviews through its public API approach. Facebook connection requires Page owner or admin access. Verify current behavior in the plugin.
Reviews Feed Google and Yelp in its documented feed; Facebook is listed as a Pro source. Gutenberg block or shortcode; multiple feeds are supported. The listing describes up to 10 latest reviews for one business in a free no-API-key path after email verification. It associates ongoing updates with adding API keys; confirm current plan and setup details.
Yelp’s native review embed One selected recommended Yelp review at a time. Copy the embed code from Yelp.com and paste it into WordPress page content. No WordPress plugin is needed for the embed. Yelp says the option is on Yelp.com, not in its mobile app or Yelp for Business interface. Its documentation says the review rating and count stay up to date.

If you need Google reviews only, Rich Showcase for Google Reviews lists a Gutenberg block, shortcode, and classic sidebar widget. Its FAQ says a Places API request returns five reviews at a time and that the plugin can retain new reviews it observes over time; that is a plugin-specific description, not a universal limit for Google review integrations.

Set up a combined reviews feed

  1. Install a plugin that names the sources you need. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for the plugin, and install and activate it. Plugin menus can vary by WordPress version and plugin release, so follow the current setup prompts if the labels differ.
  2. Connect each source. Configure the Google place and Yelp business listing. For Facebook Recommendations in the unified plugin listing, you need owner or admin access to the Facebook Page. Confirm whether the chosen plugin asks you for API keys, account authorization, or other connection details.
  3. Create the feed. Select the sources and layout offered by the plugin, then use its documented setup flow to generate a block, shortcode, or widget. The multi-source plugin lists list, grid, and carousel layouts, with manual hide/show controls.
  4. Add it to the page. In the WordPress editor, add the plugin’s block where the feed should appear. If it provides a shortcode instead, insert that shortcode in a Shortcode block. Use a classic widget only if you want the feed in a widget area supported by your theme.
  5. Preview and verify. Check the page on desktop and mobile. Confirm that the source labels are clear, Google attribution is legible, and the number of reviews and update behavior match the plugin’s current settings.

Embed one Yelp review without a feed plugin

  1. On a desktop browser, open the business page on Yelp.com.
  2. Find the recommended review you want to feature and open its More Options menu.
  3. Choose Embed review and copy the code Yelp provides.
  4. In WordPress, edit the page and paste the code into the content where the review should appear, using an appropriate HTML or embed-capable block if required by the editor.
  5. Preview the result and follow Yelp’s brand guidelines.

Keep Google attribution visible

When a feed displays Google Places API content without a Google Map, Google requires attribution. Its Places API policies say to display attributions for place details, photos, and reviews, including author information and links where available. Preserve those author details and links in the feed, and make the Google content distinguishable from reviews or recommendations from other services. Check the current Google Maps Platform terms that apply to your site’s billing geography.

Limits, refreshes, and what not to assume

  • A feed may not include every review. The multi-source plugin listing describes up to 10 Google and 3 Yelp reviews via its public API approach. Reviews Feed describes a separate no-key free path of up to 10 latest reviews for one business after email verification. These are plugin-specific listings, not general platform-wide limits.
  • Refresh timing varies. The plugin listings describe different retrieval and update arrangements. Check the live settings and current documentation before promising visitors a complete archive or a particular sync schedule.
  • Facebook support may mean recommendations. The unified plugin listing specifies Facebook Recommendations; do not assume it displays every type of Facebook review content. Its connection also requires Page owner or admin access.
  • Yelp’s native option is selective. It embeds a recommended review, not a configurable multi-review feed, and offers less layout control than a feed plugin.
  • Display does not establish a conversion result. The cited plugin listings do not provide an attributable study showing that a particular reviews feed increases conversions.
