To print an entire webpage in Microsoft Edge, open the page, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Command+P on macOS, choose All under Pages, adjust paper, orientation, margins and scaling, check the preview, and select Print. All prints every page in the document—not just the portion currently visible in the browser window.
Print the complete webpage in Edge
- Open the webpage or web-app document in Microsoft Edge and wait for the content you need to appear.
- Open Settings and more (…) > Print. You can also right-click an empty area of the page and choose Print.
- Use Ctrl+P on Windows or Command+P on macOS as the quickest route. Microsoft Edge also documents Ctrl+Shift+P for opening the system print dialog.
- In the print dialog, find Pages and select All. Do not leave a custom range selected if you need the complete document.
- Choose the printer, paper size and orientation. Use the options under More settings to refine the result.
- Set Scale to print to Fit to printable area when the page must stay inside the printer’s margins.
- Review every page in the preview, then select Print.
The browser paginates a long webpage automatically. A page that extends far below the screen can therefore produce several sheets; scrolling to the bottom first is not required.
Choose settings that keep the whole page readable
Pages: All, odd, even or a range
All is the setting for a complete webpage. Edge also provides odd-page, even-page and custom-range choices, which are useful when reprinting selected sheets but can unintentionally omit content.
Paper size
Select paper supported by your printer. Edge lists sizes including Letter, Tabloid, Legal, Executive, A3, A4, B4 (JIS), B5 (JIS) and envelope formats. Match the physical paper in the tray; selecting a larger size than the loaded paper can cause a failed job or unexpected scaling.

Orientation and margins
Use portrait for text-heavy articles and landscape for wide tables, dashboards or code. Margins reserve space around the printable area. If the right side is missing, landscape orientation, smaller margins or a fit setting usually resolves the geometry before you try a different printer.
Scale to print

Fit to printable area can make text smaller, especially on a wide page. Actual size can leave content outside the printable region or create additional pages. Use the preview to decide rather than judging from the browser zoom level.
Background graphics and headers
When colors, shaded sections or background images disappear from the preview, open More settings and enable Background graphics. This preserves more visual styling but can use additional ink. You can optionally enable Headers and footers to add the current date and page number.
Why Edge cuts off the right side
Clipping usually means the content is wider than the selected paper’s printable region. In the preview, try these changes in order:

- Switch to Landscape.
- Set Scale to print to Fit to printable area.
- Choose a wider paper size, such as Tabloid or A3, if your printer supports it.
- Reduce margins under More settings.
- Use Custom scaling for a smaller reduction if Fit makes text too small.
If a table still breaks across pages, the website’s print stylesheet may be forcing a layout that does not translate well to paper. Try the simplified method below rather than repeatedly changing browser zoom.
Print a cleaner version with Immersive Reader
For pages surrounded by navigation, ads or other interface elements, open Immersive Reader from the address-bar icon, or press F9, and print from that reading view. It reformats supported pages for reading and can remove surrounding material that you do not want on paper.
Immersive Reader is not available on every website. If its icon does not appear, return to the normal page and use the standard print dialog. A web app that depends on interactive controls may also lose useful context in the simplified view.
Print a very long webpage across multiple sheets
Long pages are intended to flow across multiple printed pages. Before committing to a large job:

- Wait for images, charts and other late-loading content to finish loading.
- Open print preview and check the first, middle and last pages.
- Confirm that headings are not stranded at the bottom of a sheet and that tables are not clipped.
- Choose All rather than a visible-screen range.
- Enable Background graphics only when the visual backgrounds are necessary.
Some sites load content only after scrolling or interaction. If the preview omits sections that were not yet loaded, return to the page, trigger the required content, wait for it to appear, and reopen Print.
Save the entire webpage as one image instead of printing paper
If your goal is a single shareable image rather than paginated sheets, use Edge’s Screenshot feature. Open it from the right-click menu or Edge settings, or press Ctrl+Shift+S. Choose the full-page capture option, then copy or save the result. It captures content extending beyond the visible screen.
Screenshot availability and functionality can vary by device type, market and browser version. A full-page image is convenient for review or sharing, but text may be harder to search and a very long page can create a large image.

Troubleshoot failed previews and incomplete output
Print preview will not load
Retry the print command and select the printer again. Microsoft identifies unavailable or incorrectly installed printers and temporary connectivity as possible causes. Restart Edge if the built-in preview or PDF viewer is unavailable, then try again.

Only this website fails
Print another website or online document. If that works, the original page may contain damaged graphics, fonts, code or print styles. Try Immersive Reader when it is offered, or print after removing the problematic page elements if the site provides that control.
Several applications fail
Test printing from Word or another application. If those jobs also fail, investigate the printer driver, Windows, the printer hardware and the network or cable connection. If other applications work and only Edge fails, update the printer driver and retry Edge.
Colors or images are missing
In More settings, enable Background graphics, then inspect the preview again. If the preview is correct but paper is not, the printer’s ink, driver or color settings are more likely than the webpage to be responsible.
The page is blank or missing sections
Return to the page and wait for asynchronous content to load. Expand collapsed sections, complete any required interaction, and reopen Print. For pages that remain incompatible, test Immersive Reader or capture a full-page screenshot instead.

- Use normal printing when you need searchable, paginated paper and the site’s print layout is sound.
- Use Immersive Reader when navigation and advertising obscure the article and the site supports the feature.
- Use Screenshot when one continuous image is more useful than paper.
- For repeatable or bulk captures, an API avoids manual browser setup and exposes billing and page-verdict headers for each response.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Edge print content that is hidden behind a collapsed section?
Usually not. Expand accordions, tabs or “load more” controls before opening Print, then verify the preview contains the expanded material.
Why does the printed text look smaller than it does in the browser?
Fit to printable area scales the page to the printer’s margins. Choose Actual size or a larger paper format when preserving type size is more important than fitting the width.
Can I print a page that requires a sign-in?
Yes, if the page is already accessible in your Edge session. Keep the authenticated tab open, wait for its data to load, and then print; never share session cookies or credentials.
Is a full-page screenshot suitable for archival records?
It is a visual record, not a paginated document. For searchable text, page numbers or formal filing, print the page or create a PDF through the print workflow instead.
