Its Snapdragon 695 is an older midrange chip, and the value becomes difficult to defend if the price is close to Vivo India’s listed ₹29,999 MRP. A price near the reported ₹23,999 launch offer is considerably more compelling.
What is the Vivo Y300 Plus?
The Vivo Y300 Plus 5G is a Y-series smartphone launched in India in October 2024. It combines a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 695, 5,000mAh battery, 44W wired charging and a 32MP front camera. The documented Indian configuration is 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, in Silk Black or Silk Green.
It is a separate model from the Vivo Y300, Y300 Pro, Y300 Pro+, Y300t and Y400 Pro. Check the chipset, screen size and camera arrangement before buying: the Y300 Plus uses Snapdragon 695, a 6.78-inch curved display, 50MP + 2MP rear cameras and a 32MP selfie camera.
Vivo’s Indian product page and store listing are the strongest sources for this model, so its price, warranty and network compatibility should not be assumed for the United States or other regions.

Vivo Y300 Plus price and availability in India
Price check: Vivo India’s store page displays ₹29,999 MRP for the 8GB/128GB model. Launch coverage reported an introductory ₹23,999 price, potentially with bank-card discounts. A 91mobiles listing also shows ₹23,999, but retailer prices can be old, promotional or stock-dependent. Confirm the checkout price, seller, Indian warranty, GST invoice and return policy before paying.
The phone launched on October 15, 2024, according to 91mobiles; Gadgets360’s report was updated on October 16, 2024. Treat ₹23,999 as a launch or retailer price signal, not a guaranteed current price. The official store’s MRP is the safer reference when judging value.

Display and design: the clearest reason to buy
The 6.78-inch 2400 × 1080 AMOLED panel is the Y300 Plus’s main differentiator. AMOLED’s per-pixel lighting should provide stronger contrast than an LCD, while 120Hz can make supported scrolling and animations look smoother. The large surface suits video, reading, navigation and games.
Vivo specifies a 1,300-nit peak brightness. That is a peak figure, not a guarantee of sustained outdoor brightness; no independent brightness measurement is established here. Curved edges add a premium visual effect but can increase edge glare, accidental touches, protector-fitting difficulty, apparent distortion and replacement cost after a drop.

- 【Touch Sensitive】 Smooth glass surface means your finger glides smoothly over the vivo Y300 Plus 5G privacy tempered glass screen protector, just like it does over your device screen. The super-thin glass preserves touchscreen sensitivity allowing it to respond accurately to your touch
- 【Easy Installation】 The anti-spy screen protector of vivo Y300 Plus 5G is bubble-free self-adhesive for easy installation and no residue when removed, totally case friendly due to its open-edge design. Vivo lists a 7.49mm thickness for the relevant thin variant. The conflicting published weights mean buyers should not rely on a single precise weight figure without checking the exact colour and regional listing.
Performance and software
Snapdragon 695, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage are appropriate for messaging, social networks, streaming, web browsing, navigation, office or school work and casual games. They are less persuasive for demanding 3D games at high settings or for buyers seeking substantial long-term performance headroom.
Recommended Free Tools
No benchmark scores, frame-rate tests or thermal measurements are established by the cited material, so the Y300 Plus should not be sold as a high-end gaming phone. Near ₹29,999, newer phones with faster processors deserve direct comparison.

- It is supported by advanced RFID blocking technology to block signals and protect your personal information effectively
- Can stand the phone up to watch something hands-free
- High quality PU leather, very light, it have card slots, can be put into cards and money
- Magnetic flap to keep it closed and protected, secure magnetic closure
- Absorption of light and sunlight will produce a fluorescent effect in a dark environment.
The launch software is Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. 91mobiles lists two years of OS updates and three years of security updates, but that timetable was not visible on the reviewed Vivo product page; treat it as a secondary-source claim and confirm Vivo’s current policy if support length is decisive.
Cameras: strong selfie specification, limited rear flexibility
Rear cameras
The 50MP primary camera is paired with a 2MP depth-support camera. The second sensor is not an ultrawide or telephoto lens, so the phone does not offer the framing flexibility of a three-camera system. Specifications alone do not establish daylight, low-light, portrait, video or stabilisation quality.
Front camera
The 32MP selfie camera is a notable feature for selfies, video calls, social posts and portrait-style shots. It is a resolution advantage on paper, not a guarantee of flagship image processing.

Battery, charging and protection
The 5,000mAh typical battery is a conventional strength for this class. Vivo includes a 44W charger according to its product page. Charging power is dynamically adjusted, so 44W is a rated maximum rather than a constant draw from empty to full. Actual speed depends on battery level, temperature, cable, charger behaviour and use.
IP54 indicates protection against limited dust ingress and water splashes. It does not make the phone waterproof: do not submerge it, use it underwater or assume liquid damage is covered by warranty.
Connectivity and storage limitations
The handset supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C and an in-display fingerprint reader. Vivo’s detailed India page says NFC is not supported, which rules out NFC tap-to-pay, transit-card use, tag reading and some quick-pairing workflows.
128GB is adequate for moderate users but can fill quickly with large games, offline video, long recordings and years of photos or messaging media. Gadgets360 reports microSD support up to 1TB. Before relying on that expansion, confirm whether the card shares a SIM slot, the maximum capacity for your regional unit and whether applications can use external storage.
How the Y300 Plus compares with alternatives
| Buyer priority | Model to investigate | Why it may fit | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Curved display and selfie camera | Vivo Y300 Plus | 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED and 32MP front camera | Snapdragon 695, no NFC and only 128GB in the documented configuration |
| Lower-cost everyday phone | Motorola Moto G85 | 91mobiles lists ₹17,840 in one comparison, with similar headline camera and battery capacities | That is a retailer snapshot; compare processor, software support, warranty and live price |
| Battery and charging value | OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G | Reported comparison advantages include a 5,500mAh battery and 80W charging | It has a smaller display and lower-resolution front camera in the cited comparison; verify current price |
| Higher-end Vivo upgrade | Vivo V40 | 91mobiles lists a faster processor, 50MP front camera, 5,500mAh battery and 80W charging | It costs more in that comparison and is an upgrade, not a direct budget substitute |
| Same-brand curved-screen comparison | Vivo Y200 Pro | Useful for weighing Vivo’s curved-display design against camera priorities | 91mobiles’ comparison gives the Y300 Plus a higher-resolution selfie camera and faster charging, while the Y200 Pro has a higher-resolution rear camera |
Other models such as the Vivo Y300, Samsung Galaxy A16 5G, Nothing Phone 2a, iQOO Z9s Pro, OPPO F25 Pro and Motorola Edge series may be sensible comparisons, but their suitability depends on the live Indian price and the buyer’s priorities. Comparison prices cited above come from 91mobiles and are not guaranteed checkout prices.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Large 120Hz curved AMOLED display
- Slim design and in-display fingerprint reader
- 32MP selfie camera
- 5,000mAh battery with included 44W charger
- 5G connectivity and IP54 protection
- Vivo retail and service ecosystem in India
Cons
- Snapdragon 695 is an older midrange platform
- Only 128GB in the documented configuration
- No NFC
- 2MP secondary rear camera adds little shooting flexibility
- Curved glass brings glare, protector and repair trade-offs
- Value is weaker at ₹29,999 than near the reported ₹23,999 launch price
Who should buy the Vivo Y300 Plus?
- Buy it if you prioritise a very large curved AMOLED display, selfie camera, battery and Vivo’s software and service network.
- Buy it if the verified price is close to ₹23,999 and the seller provides an Indian warranty and proper invoice.
- Compare carefully if gaming, NFC, 256GB storage, an ultrawide camera, a flat screen or long-term software support is essential.
- Look elsewhere if the final price is near ₹30,000 and a newer chipset, faster charging or more storage is available.
The Bottom Line
The Vivo Y300 Plus is a display-and-selfie-focused Indian 5G phone, not a performance leader. It is easiest to recommend at a genuine discount near its ₹23,999 launch price; at Vivo India’s ₹29,999 MRP, compare newer alternatives first.
